Wanting to fully enjoy the magnificent lakes in Bariloche, my husband and I booked a lake view room in the Alma del Lago-hotel. We were pleasantly surprised upon arriving in the hotel by the modern design of the hotel and the warm welcome at the reception desk. Our positive first impression changed quickly however when entering our room: 3/4 of... More

Wonderful lake views from most bedrooms, the restaurant and the bar. Convenient to walk into the charming town of Bariloche. Opposite a chair lift and toboggan run popular with children. The staff at reception were not particularly friendly though and had confused our reservation.

Through my work I have been fortunate to stay and some amazing places. This is at the top of my list. The rooms are spacious, wood flooring throughout, the view out of the window faces the water so you always have a great view of the waves as they crash into the shore. The staff has been extremely nice and... More

clean and modern hotel located at the far end of town (10 - 15 min walk to busiest shops / restaurant area) but right on the edge of the lake giving fantastic views from both the bedroom and restaurant (breakfast). Breakfast was the best by some distance out of the 4 different parts of Argentina and Uruguay that we did.... More

This is a beautiful hotel conveniently located on the waterfront with magnificant views. The hotel is centrally located within a short walking distance from restaurants, museums and shopping. It sits on the local bus line for easy travel short distances out of town. The staff is well trained and attentive. The cleaning staff do an excellent job.

Elegant hotel. Spacious room and public areas. Magnificent views from room and everywhere. Good breakfast. Prices drop down dramatically beginning of March. Great return value for money. Helping attentive stuff. Juan Pablo of the main desk was very helpful with great tips and a real friend in need. Thank you Pablo.

The hotel is in absolutely the best location in Bariloche with easy walking access to all the city has to offer. The wonderful location is secondary to the incredible views found throughout the hotel...and the peace, quiet and sounds of the lake that we found in our room at night. This place is beautiful, the staff gracious, accommodating and incredibly... More

We booked a standard room with lake view. We checked in at 11.00 a.m. which was not an issue (check-in is normally at 15.00). On the contrary, we even get an upgrade to an executive room with lake view! The staff at the reception is very thoughtful and friendly. The atmosphere in the hotel is pleasant. The room was spacious... More

Nice hotel with a great view, however it is not what i expected for a 5 star hotel. Rooms were very hot and there was no a/c equipment. Also, back rooms were very as the hotel is placed next to the main road of Bariloche. The sleeping experience was not good at all. Additionally, wifi was really poor at the... More

A lovely location right on the lake-although the lack of a sidewalk extending as far as the hotel makes walking into town a little awkward, and crossing the street a little dangerous. Just make sure you get a lakeview room, because the rooms in the back get road noise especially when you open a window, which you will have to... More
