Warning! Be carefull with hosteria El Ciervo Rojo. We have the feeling it is a scam. We found this place in the Lonely Planet (recommended as a pleasant place to book in advance) and checked it with Tripadvisor. Nice pictures on Tripadvisor. While on business in Patagonia, we were fortunate enough to find this hospitable inn at the corner of busy Elflein street. This hotel is awful. It is expensive and rooms are old and not clean. It looks more like an hostel, which is a lot cheaper. After 20 minutes we packed our bags and set course for an other hotel. This was recommended in a couple of travel guide books, figured that it should be nice, given the description that it's a cute little house.
