We stayed here over low season and the hostel was quiet which was nice. But for 160 pesos I would expect a little more. We had to make our own beds on arrival, you don't get a towel, there was no hand soap or hand towel in the bathrooms which I think is poor given communal living. The kitchen only... More

easy 20 minute walk from the bus station; 15 minutes from main town area, The room and attached bathroom were clean. Had 4 beds though, luckily only one other person shared the room. We both remarked that it was the best nights sleep either of us had on our respective trips because it was quiet and the San Martin de... More

Visited off season, passing through from Bariloche to Pucon, so it served its purpose as a place to sleep but was quite dead. Pretty far from the bus station and main strip, but nice and quiet as a result. The kitchen was a little odd, with set cooking times, so I decided just to eat out instead. Staff weren’t really... We only stayed one night but it was enough. The hostel is too expensive compared with the service. The shower was broken but we couldn't find anyone at the reception in the late evening, so we had to wait the next morning. And when we asked for a discount, the owner didn't want to hear anything, saying that we had... More

The hostel was recommended to us since we only needed to spend one night in San Martin de los Andes. The location of the hostel itself is several blocks away from the main street and the lake. But, since it was a small town, every place was basically within walking distance. The staff that attended to us on our check... More

On arrival some hostels present a welcoming face that makes you feel welcome and even at home, explaining the ins and outs of the hostel and place. This is not that hostel! The woman at reception seemed to resent having to get up from her celebrity gossip magazine to do her job. She made out as if it was an... More

This hostel has great potential. it looks like it should be a sort of friendly place, but I didn't get that vibe at all. I found people a bit too cliquey, I had to wait every time I wanted to speak to a staff-member - there was never anyone on reception and I didn't even know who worked there and... More

Clean hostel, spoilt by cooking times and rude staff! Main common area only has wooden benches to sit on, so is quite uncomfortable, therefore the place really lacks a freindly atmosphere. Rooms are ok. Will forever be remembered as the hostel that dictated when we were allowed to cook.... Strange!

We got here to stay for just one night and I'm glad we did. The location is fine and the rooms are okay. But when we had to leave for our bus at 5pm we were not allowed to use the kitchen to cook pasta!!! They have cooking times (11-2 and 7-11) and that is ridiculous in itself!!!! But to... More

The hostel is located on nice and quiet residential street. For the small town of San Martin it is a bit of a distance from the bus terminal and a few blocks from the center. The supermarket is only few block walk. The hostel has very nice street appeal. It has many and large common areas. The kitchen, more like... More
