The place is absolutely wonderful. You have fresh winds, green pastures and beautiful sea right at your doorsteps. There are friendly dogs and sheep roam around. The sea lions are on the beach below. The room we stayed was smallish but had enough space for one double bed and single bed so that our daughter could sleep there. Room was... More

Maybe the rooms are all different but ours was quite cheery and spacious. No mothball smell as another reviewer mentioned. The food was better than expected after reading other reviews. Maybe I was expecting the worst but I found the place charming. Yes, many of the staff are not the most inviting but the guide for the sea lions and... More

We were attracted by the romanticism of staying in a hotel with a lighthouse on the end of a peninsular. We were certainly not disappointed. First the accommodation; the rooms we stayed in were in what had been the station school a white washed building near the lighthouse itself. The bedrooms were located around a lounge whose walls are lined... More

We had been a bit shocked by how far away it is - 3 hours down a dirt road....but once we got there we fell in love with this lighthouse and estancia. We could not have been made more welcome. Rooms are slightly old-fashioned but very comfortable and clean, with a nice guest sitting room equipped with kettle and fridge.... More

Although this is an expensive place to stay, it's unmissable if you want to get up close to the sea elephants. It's situated close to large sea elephant colonies, and the guides will take you to see them up close for an experience of a lifetime. Accommodation wise, don't expect to find connectivity or city comforts this far out from... More

Yes the location of this place is unique, and ideally situated for exploring Peninsula Valdes, and we expected the accommodation here to be basic but it was so disappointing. Our arrival was hardly acknowledged by the staff and we were shown to our room. It was not basic it was grotty- broken bathroom tiles, ancient furniture, old carpet and soft furnishings with an... We stayed here for one night. The location is at the far end of the peninsula (gravel roads, we rented a small car, all went very smoothly but driving is around 50 km/hr). It is a beautiful place, very far away from everything else. No cellphone reception, no electricity during the day in the hotel (they work with a power... More

The location is superb and the staff is welcoming and helpful. Rooms are pretty basic, though, a little hostel-like. No electricity during the days and no cell phone reception (which might be a good thing). So do not expect any luxury on that front. Food in the restaurant is good. There were a lot of arranged activities included in the... More

Arrived rather tired at lucn time to be met by Ignacio who showed us around and told us the whys and wherefores of the area. Went and sat on a bench overlooking a raised beach full of Elephant Seals. Room was small but I think most people only spend 1 night here, it was very clean and cosy. Good dinner... More

We stayed here for one night, and had an amazing time. There is a walkway to the elephant seals colony just below the cliff which lets you get to within 10 meters of the wildlife, which is much closer then you will, het anywhere else on the island. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the complementary excursions (such as... More
