This has been one of the best hostels we've stayed in. We were given a really warm welcome by Gaston and were fortunate to be able to check in to our room early. Our room was gorgeous, large, bright, with a big uber comfortable double bed, a fridge, a kettle, a TV and plenty of storage. It must be the... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights and could easily have stayed longer. The host Gaston is one of the friendliest and helpful owners I have met, always around for a chat and to help with tours, transport, etc. The bunks are comfy and have warm blankets/duvets, the bathrooms are like those in bathroom showrooms and the place is... We stayed at Hi Patagonia for 6 nights in one of their private rooms with a private ensuite and we loved every minute of it! From the moment we arrived at the hostel, we felt like family. Gaston and his staff were incredibly friendly, kind and thoughtful. They were easy to talk to, and offered invaluable information about things to... More

We extended our stay from one week to two because we found the hostel so nice. Right by the beach, 20 peso taxi ride from the bus station, close to shops, good wifi, secure front door to which you had your own key, very clean everywhere, always toilet paper, soap and hand towels in all of the bathrooms, kitchen had... Hi Patagonia is a great hostel with plenty of commons spaces for socializing, while also maintaining rooms in separate, more private areas. Gaston is one of the friendliest and most personable hostel owners I have met - he's always happy to share mate, start an asado, and share stories of his own travels. I met travelers of all ages and... More

Initially booked in here for three nights but ended up staying for an extra 6 nights! Hostel is in an excellent location just one block from the beach and just over 10 minutes walk into the town. Super clean, cleaned every day, good lockers, spacious rooms & bathrooms with good showers plus a good breakfast is included. Wifi is really... More

If you pass by Puerto Madryn you should use this wonderful hostel. The most important thing - the owner really passionate about his guests. I got the best breakfast in Argentina, served by the owner. The rooms are super clean, same goes for the kitchen. BBQ for the guests is being conducted in the detached guest house Gaston, the owner,... More

Great rooms. It is a house with big bathrooms. The blankeds are great so is the help the staff gives you. They know everything about the tours and more. I would recomment this hostel to everyone, even If your not a fan of hostels.

Had 3 days staying in the double en-suite room and had a wonderful time. The staff were amazing - all our tours were arranged by Gaston and everyone did everything we could ever ask. Every evening the bar was relaxed and friendly and everything was clean and comfortable. The asado (grill) night was amazing - still the best meal we've... More

Thank you Gaston! I had a wonderful weekend stay at Gaston's Hi Patagonia Hostel. Gaston is a fantastic cook (cooked the best steak I had in Argentina) and a fountain of knowledge on the area and activities. He was indispensable in helping me plan my itinerary for my time in Puerto Madryn. The hostel itself was clean, friendly, and very... More
