Nice hostel with big kitchen, dining room, computers and library. The frontdesk guys are very helpful. We stayed in a private room so we didn't really interact with the backpackers. The rooms are clean and quite. TV has English channels. The location is close the beach boardwalk with lots of stores and restaurants. Puerto Madryn is a small town so... More

We stayed at this hostel only few days but when the Time to leave came we were very sad! At the check in we were greeted by such a nice girl who made us feel like we were part of the family! The atmosphere was exceptionally friendly. Eventhough we found out to have booked a double room with shared bathroom,... More

The last time I stayed at a hostel was as a 20 year old backpacking through Europe but Argentina's limited range of affordable hotels led me back to hostels and I think I may be a regular now. El Gualicho was clean, neat, friendly and well located. The bathroom in the private room we had was one of the nicest... More

Gualicho is a solid place to stay while in Madryn. We were a bit disapointed to find some hair in our bed and that's just one the simpel things to right: cleaning. Otherwise breakfast is ok and the place has a relaxed vibe and they help you to book tours etc. If you look for something genuine and a place... More

Rocked up from the bus station and got a great double which was like a hotel with TV and bathroom. Unfortunately we were allocated a room by the road so it was rather noisy, especially on the weekend. The wifi was also poor or non existent in the room. The building itself is great, and super clean- the cleaners were... More

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst touring round the area and found it clean (room and bathroom were cleaned daily), comfortable and friendly with a nice atmosphere and nice common areas to meet people and relax in (hammocks a particular plus) with it's location (short walk to the bus station and centre of town, and with a couple of restaurants... Gualicho is a typical hostel providing all the features that a backpacker needs - kitchen, common place, salon, tv, computer, games, dvd, locker, wifi etc. We have booked a double room with private bath for 3 nights. First we got the room which seemed very basic and old on the ground floor but the heating was not working so they... More

A really great deal for your miney. I stayed in a private room, which was HUGE! The common areas are very big, and the kitchen is very nice. It tends to be also very quiet (anyways it was when we went). Right next door there is an empanada house, that makes also great sandwiches de miga.

We've been advised to stay at this place by people we had met on the bus on our way from Buenos Aires. They told us it was clean, bright, and very friendly. And they were right. The place is prtty big and has a nice garden with hammocks, dormitories (ours had 6 beds), private rooms and many bathrooms.a big kitchen,(with only two... More

Best hostel I have stayed at so far in SA. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the whole place is spotless. The rooms are spacious with good security, breakfast is great and it is in the perfect position. Loved this place! Ps. One of the front desk guys is really cute too
