We arrived early in the morning following an overnight bus journey and were immediately made to feel at home by Veronica and Jorge. They have a very attractive place, just outside the centre of Esquel. I think it is important to note that it is not in the centre but it is an easy taxi ride and there is a... More

Hello MIke-Rosemary, thanks for your great review. We appreciate very much your words about our location. To most people that come to stay with us, being somewhat away from the noisy centre of town is an asset. And, as you say, it's only a 5-minute taxi ride there (or a 20-minute hike, if you want to stretch your legs after... More

We had a wonderful stay at Hosteria Canela. The hosts, Jorge and Veronica, were delightful and very helpful with directions, restaurants, sights to see. The room was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Jorge helped us plan a birding trip with a local biologist which was wonderful. They also made dinner reservations for our first night there, as it was my... More

This was another quick stopover for us on a long motorbike tour. We chose Canela based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. In fact, we stayed again on our return north two weeks later. Jorge and Veronica are very gracious and friendly hosts and make you feel very welcome. The bedroom was large and the bed very comfortable. The... More

We stayed a night at this B&B after originally planning a trip on the famous train, 'La Trochita', however a few days before we discovered that the train had been cancelled due to a strike so we were wondering whether to come or not - very glad we did. The local area has a few sights to see and we... More

Dear Guest, Thanks so much for your wonderful review! We strive to offer the best service we can, while keeping Hosteria Canela's "home from home" atmosphere and friendliness. While our neighbourhood is the best and most peaceful in Esquel, it's true that covering the 2-km distance from the bustling centre of town may call for a car ride. But there... More

Jorge and Veronika made One feel Part of their wonderful Home . Jorge was suggesting a Trip to lago Krügger in the e-Mail before arriving there and did all the booking for us. So we came and could simply enjoy this little lakeparadise. Also he was very helpful in planing the further Trip to Bariloche. The house has a cosy... More

Hello Suzi_wrong, thanks for your wonderful review! Nice to know things went well at Lake Kruger and that you liked that lovely spot. It's an ideal place for trekking, fly-fishing, or just relaxing at the small inn there, don't you think so?. So I gather you reached the Bariloche bus on time at Esquel terminal too. Hope you managed to... More

We arrived late after a very long drive and were met with a great welcome and cup of coffee. Jorge went out of his way to make us feel at home. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the wi-fi was excellent. Jorge recommended El Mirador Restaurant a few blocks away and we were not disappointed. Unfortunately Veronica had gone... More

Dear Doug M Thanks a lot for your great review on Hosteria Canela! What a pity that Veronica was away for a couple of days at our niece's marriage. It was a pleasure for me having you here, and talk about the South African Boer history in Patagonia. I hope your long overland trip keeps going well. Have some good... More

Jorge was a very hospitable and welcoming host. He even collected us from the airport, provided excellent local infomation and arranged local tax hire for us on a couple of occassions. His advice helped make our stay most enjoyable. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of space and comfy chairs to relax in and the breakfasts were excellent.

Jorge and Veronica the perfect hosts of this B&B located on the outskirts of Esquel. Their knowledge of northern Patagouna and helpfulness expedited our birding, fishing and hiking. We arrived late our first night and Veronica recommended Mapuche Restaurant in the neighborhood and we loved it, returning another night. You can tell they love what they do.

Hosteria Canela is situated in a very nice neighbourhood of Esquel.
