From the road, you'd never guess what lay behind the front door! Amazing interior, wonderfully different room and a painting I would have liked to have myself! The garden was delightful and it would've been nice to have spent more time relaxing there.

Situated some ten or so blocks from the city centre, it is a lovely property with an outdoor pool and well-kept gardens. The staff are very helpful although they eem very strict on the 11am check-out although one may leave ones' suitcases there and stay in the building as lovely areas are available to read. There is free wifi access... More

Literally a hidden gem - from the street, it's far from obvious this is a hotel at all. It seems little changed from when it was the town house of a family which owned a big wine estate - genuinely like being in a beautifully furnished high class family house. A good ten minutes walk from the main square, but... More

Just a fabulous B&B/home that's exquisitely decorated. Great service and wonderful location. Highly recommend it and would stay there again.

We could have spent the whole time roaming around the house, it was so lovely. It's a bit more of a B&B in that there isn't a lot of "front desk" services, but the staff are very friendly. Our room on the second floor had a sign in the bathroom that you had to run the hot water for 5... More

El Lagar is an exquisite mansion in a quiet part of town, full of artwork and family pieces. You will feel like a guest in a beautiful home. Lovely garden and swimming pool in the rear. Wonderful breakfast; many restaurants nearby for dinner. Beds need to be upgraded. There is no sign on the front of the hotel, so remember... More

When you walk through the front door, you discover a real treasure. The breakfast here was the best of our trip to Salta province. Beautiful grounds, and a few steps away from one of the most amazing museums - The Pacha. I am so glad that we endeavored to do some exploring in the area.

I was flown up to Salta by a group of wineries and had to spend one night in Salta city, so I had a chance to enjoy this outstanding boutique hotel. This was a long time family home, now handsomely redone as a full service hotel. The original hardwood floors, the impressive art collection, all add to the superb experience.... More

Incredible house with a large collection of very beautiful art, nice rooms, friendly staff except for the manager, a little grumpy. Located one block from a road full of restaurants and on sunday the best market.

My husband would like to take up residency here!!!!!! This 50 year old dwelling is built with the finest of materials and the artwork, sculptures, gardens and furnishings are top-notch! Before arriving, I thought El Lagar might be too stuffy or pretentious for us. However, we felt right at home! From the front door, one would never know what lurks beyond. Pure... More
