This hotel is very well situated and relatively easy to find by Google Map, only problem was the on-off signalization of streets in the area and the wildly agressive bus drivers (the most agressive we have seen anywhere in Argentina) - but none of this is the fault of the hotel. As a matter of fact, we can find very... More

Wonderful hotel. Stepping in off the street is like entering an oasis. The staff is welcoming and helpful, the rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms. Breakfast is the same as all hotels in Argentina, cereals, breads, muffins, cakes, ham and cheese slices. They have a lovely small bar and the bartender upon hearing that I was hungry came back... This is such a little gem. From the street it looks fairly straightforward but once inside it is clear this was once a fine city house, There is a four storey atrium with two or three bedrooms on each floor. Each bedroom has been converted to a high modern standard and the breakfast is pretty good by the modest standards... More

Thank you to all the staff of the hotel for their gracious and excellent service during our stay recently at the hotel. There is no doubt that the hotel is quiet beautifull and elegant. The physical feeling to stay there is one of calm and comfort. The most special element however is the staff who are kind, gracious and helpfull.... More

Stayed here as part of a group. Rooms very well presented and spotless. Service could not be faulted. Breakfast adequate (Argentine standard). Nice spot opposite a park with plenty of eating places nearby and about 5-10 minutes walk from the main square. Would very happily stay there again

Pros: Small hotel- not full of crowds, more personalized service (since the first time I´ve been there some years ago, till today, they remember my name). Great location (2 minute walk from the bar and restaurant hot-spot in Salta and 5 to the main square). Cons: It is a boutique hotel built on a very old, albeit luxurious, house, so... More

The location of this hotel is excellent. At daytime, the city center and all the shopping is nearby in one direction. At night, in the opposite direction from the hotel, maybe 150 feet of walking, is an area that contains more restaurants than you could possibly shake your stick at. The hotel has its ambiance, it's neat and clean, but... More

This hotel is well located in the center of town a few blocks from large plaza and a few blocks from many bars and restaurants the other way. The staff was super helpful ahead of time to find me a rental car during semana santa. Then when our flight was unexpectedly canceled they got us a room and upgraded us... More

While we liked this hotel - classic lobby, rooms, etc. it did have its shortcomings. The breakfast was not typical of the breakfasts we had in other hotels in Argentina - limited variety of things to choose from and limited amounts. We also got some laundry done - probably 15-20 pieces at most - it cost $100 and we did... More

When every room that I tried at Hotel Salta smelled like castor oil, I was able to cancel that reservation and book a room at Solar de la Plaza right away. Not only was my room at Solar clean and comfortable, but the front desk was extremely helpful in arranging to have a guide drive me from Salta through Cachi... More
