Located opposite the 9 de Julio square , best location possible . Classical Hotel with spacious rooms and very clean . The reception staff very efficient but not very warm with the exception of Claudia , a very efficient and very polite girl with an unerasable smile . Very good breakfast and restaurant .

Finally a proper brekfast served in Argentina! Friendly staff, good quality service. The room was clean and the internet has good reception. The only thing was that the hotel itself is a little bit old but it has it's own charm with the stairs and everything.

This hotel is in a prime location. All sights are within walking distance. The rooms are average but nicely sized and very clean. The complimentary breakfast offered a lot of choice and started early which is great if you have an early flight or want to get an early start to your day. I would stay here again.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise. Located on the edge of the central town square with many dining establishments, museums, shops and amenities within walking distance. The hotel has a sense of style and appears to have been tastefully reconditioned with modern features, but retaining all the original charm. Our room was very clean and welcoming and had a beautiful... More

A real touch of charm in the best location. The hotel has everything you need: excellent service, very comfortable beds, a frigo bar with an excellent selection of drinks, abondant breakfast buffet, and a swimming pool surrounded by a lovely garden.

Fantastic location, comfortable rooms, excellent food and friendly, helpful staff. I'm just a little surprised about some comments stating the hotel is outdated. Maybe, just maybe, that has something to do with the fact it was built in 1942 - and they are retaining some of it's original charm. Maybe you'd be happier in a 2014 Travel Lodge. Rooms have... More

Revisiting the Hotel Salta proved an excellent choice. The location on the beautiful main square in Salta is ideally central and taxis, if like us you needed to get to the bus station, are easy to get and very cheap. We spent two separate nights in the hotel, once with a room with a view of the swimming pool and... More

I just can't believe such a beautiful old hotel with Andalusian ceramics on the wall and 72 year old country chandeliers (place was founded in 42') is 500 pesos a night (40 bucks)? Breakfast is included, the beds are firm, the room is clean and oh' the mini fridge is stocked. What a deal!

We stayed at good old Hotel Salta 3 nights and wished it had lasted longer. Hotel Salta is charming and old fashion with nice rooms and great bathrooms. lots of hot water and very silent AC. Wifi at an OK speed. Breakfast is upper Argentina standard. Freindly english speaking staff at the reception. The best about this hotel is the... More

I stayed here after a few hostels before, so of course there is a huge difference for the price. The rooms are bigger and cleaner, the sleep quality I got was exactly what I needed. And they spoke english and some french too, which was a pleasant surprise. I recommend the place, it's a very good hotel in Salta.
