I was really looking forward to stay in this hostel based on people commentaires but was really desappointed by my one night stay. My feed-back is only based on my own expérience. I will just mention that I've been in more than 10 hostals in SA before arriving to Prisa Mata. The (+) : -I agree with what have been... More

this hostel is quirky, but I found it a nice place to stay in Salta. The staff were very helplfull and the owner too. I had a single room and the bathroom nearby was clean and plenty of hot water. Easy walk to the city center and bus station

We came to this hostel because of the good reviews we read here, but in my humble opinion this place looks good only in the photos. we had to take the private room cause the mixed dorms looked so messy and dirty. ( woman dorms and privates looked nice though), toilets and showers were dirty, but the worst part was... More

We are a cuple in our thirties, we came after a long trip expecting to nap a little, we took the private room and 50 minutes after we paid (first time ever we where asked to pay in advance in arg) a ping pong table materialized in the patio rigth ourside our room. Needless to say napping was imposible. So... More

This is a great place to spend your siestas in Salta. When the midday heat makes walking the streets unbearable it's nice to have a shaded and colourful homestead to pull up a hammock and relax. The staff are great and really helpful, especially the owner Damien. I'll add that he has an awesome music collection if you like indie... More

I have been travelling in Argentina during 2 months, went to a lot of cities and stayed at the best reviewed hostels. And I have to say that my favorite hostel in Argentina is la Prisamata. It has everything: a good location in a good city, good furnitures, hammocks, delicious asados, and every single member of the staff is friendly... More

Prisamata es like a home away from home for me. The first time I visited, I planned to stay maybe 3 days. 3 days turned into 2 weeks. My second visit, I knew better. I booked ahead for 2 weeks. Prisamata is the kind of hostel where you feel like you have gotten back together with old friends, even if... More

We agree with all comments about the good quality of this place, in terms of location, value and atmosphere. That being said, though, one must know that after checking out at 12pm, one is asked to pay 25 pesos per person. After already paying 60 pesos for leaving our luggage in the premises for a few days, we felt like... More

I spent 3 nights at Prisamata. The hostel staff are very friendly, home cooked meals were fantastic, location is great (short walk into the centre & right near all the bars & restaurants), the chill out area is lovely (complete with hammocks & bean bags) & the kitchen bore some resemblance to a family home kitchen with everyone hanging out... We stayed here for three nights in April; one night in a twin room and two nights in a dorm. Pros: Staff are welcoming and friendly, particularly Damian. Chill out areas are great; hammock, bean bags, fairy lights and cool music. Big communal kitchen. The staff offer cheap communal meals most nights. We had bangers and mash which was yummy.... More
