Very friendly, relatively clean hostel but dreary room (ours was at least others maybe better). Shower nice and hot but a wet room, may cause problems if you are prone to slipping on wet floors :) Very pleasant garden with plenty of sitting both for eating or relaxing. 10 - 15 minute walk to the main Plaza but felt very... This hostel was a good option for us. Good wifi, friendly staff, comfy rooms, hot showers. Breakfast was very basic - tough bread, jam, tea/coffee. The hostel offers a decent laundry service. There is a good book exchange. The car rental company they work with (Rent a Car) is good value. Nice communal areas. About a 10-15 min walk to... More

basic hostel. the usual South American breakfast... i. e. don't bother! twin room was ok, but a little run down, pillows are like cushions that give you a reason to visit a chiropractor, very few bathrooms / toilets availability, but shower is nice and hot once the burners kick in, and for some strange reason they decide to flood (mop)... We stayed in a private double en-suite. The room was reasonably priced, super clean and very big. We had plenty of hot water, the outside common area was very nice and we even had a game or two of ping pong! Breakfast is very basic, we skipped it the second day. They have a room with multiple computers which came... More

Good quality for the price we paid. Hostel has a nice atmospher and great garden. Breakfast was good and the room was decent. Nothing fancy but clean. Location was good, safe area and 15 walk to main plaza.

The rooms in this hostel are small and ageing but they are comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and the large kitchen was clean and well equipped. The hostel was 10 minutes walk from the town centre and from the bus station.

Salta por Siempre is within 15 minutes' walking distance of the bus terminal and the main plaza. I upgraded from a dorm to a private room on arrival after a long bus ride and little sleep, though it was on the expensive side. Nice breakfast, with a proper coffee. They're helpful with booking tours - I had a fabulous day... More

Stayed here in Oct 2012 in a private room with an en-suite. The room was pretty nice and clean although there was only one power socket which was high up on the wall. The kitchen was poorly equipped with very little cutlery, plates etc. We had to ask for cups and glasses from the bar. Breakfast was just the basic... More

We got to Salta por Siempre (aka Hostel in Salta) right before all the busses in Argentina went on strike, which essentially left us trapped. But what a great place to be trapped! After about 5 weeks on the road and many hostels later, this hostel has been our favorite! We rented a comfortable ensuite double room that was kept... More
