What more can we say, it's already been said by so many other people. Casa Hernandez is a gem and well worthy of its number one spot on Tripadvisor. We loved it. It's quirky rooms, splendid en suite bathroom, glorious gardens and the friendly, helpful, charming hosts. Highly recommended. It's not in central Salta but in the lovely superb of... More

From start to finish we enjoyed the warm and cheerful personalities of Alex & Rijkje in Casa Hernandez. They make you feel at home, give you a lot of helpful advice, also for the rest of your trip. Breakfast is delious and their house is just perfect! Beautifully decorated, clean and a huge garden to enjoy the peacefulness or asado's... More

We first stayed at Casa Hernandez in 2008 not long after it first opened. We had been travelling for almost a year and it was great to stay in a place that was a home from home. At the time, we were considering setting up a B&B ourselves and were searching for a suitable property. I remember thinking at the... More

We had 8 days in this magic spot, from the time we arrived, with Alex meeting us at the Airport, till 8 days latter putting us back on the Plane, We had an absolute ball. Alex & Rijkje were perfect hosts, down to earth genuine people. After a long day touring the mountians, it was pleasure to arrive back home... More

It's what you expect from a good B&B, but with that extra personal touch that makes it more than just your average place to stay. For example: Alex and Rijkje celibrated the coming of spring with their guests, by buying some drinks and having a lovely chat in the garden. If you're visiting Salta and its surroundings, make this your... More

We loved our stay at Casa Hernandez. Alex and Rejkje are such caring hosts, very personable and so helpful in getting us familiar with the area and suggesting adventures for our stay, as well as places to eat, how to get around - basically everything. The house is nestled in the small town of San Lorenzo which is about a... More

They are so friendly and helpful, you really feel welcome from the moment you enter the casa. They know a lot of good restaurants and activities in... More

The reviews don't lie - this is a wonderful place to stay. We concluded our honeymoon here and it felt more like being with friends than in a stuffy hotel. Alex and Rijkje were great hosts and charming with their stories and information. The B&B is a short distance from Salta (15-20 mins by bus) but the bus is easy... More

We found casa Hernandez from trip advisor. Initialy we were sceptical if we should pre-book as Salta wasn't our first destination, however after couple emails exchanged with Alex and Rijkje we booked two nights. Alex and Rijkje, welcomed us as if we knew each other for years. The level of hospitality is so high we forgot that we were in... More

In each of the nine days that we stayed in Casa Hernandez with Alex and Rijkje, we felt lucky to be there. Why? There are so many reasons. First and foremost, we were treated like friends. Alex and Rijkje truly enjoy getting to know their guests and were very helpful anytime we needed information, etc... In addition, the home and... More
