A quaint, cozy, and quiet hideaway built into the hill (cerro) surrounding Tilcara, Salta, Argentina. It's about a ten minute drive from the town square, though it's along some pretty rough roads! The rooms are spacious and comfortable with gorgeous views from morning until dawn. The owner, Nour, is an incredibly friendly Frenchmen who opened Cerro Chico about ten years... More

While travelling around Northern Argentine all the way from Buenos Aires without booking any hotels or activities in advance, we have come to accidentally find this pleasant surprise. We were greeted with laughter and smiles by llamas and the host. We managed to get a room without booking, even know it is not the usual practise here. It is very... More

Stunningly beautiful hotel above the city of Tilcara. Upon arrival, a jovial Frenchman, Souk greeted us with a huge smile and loads of enthusiasm. He loves what he does, and you can see his passion carry through every detail of the 7-room hotel. The rooms are quaint and clean, views- stunning, customer service- spot on! Souk even gave us a... This was a wonderful place to stay for a few days at the end of our tour in the north. Nour has created an astonishingly beautiful, relaxing haven in this lovely valley. He was an excellent, eccentric host and very helpful in suggesting local places to go, eat and walk. The foxes (almost perfectly tame) were an added attraction! The... More

It had been the most impressive holidays in my whole life. (and I was in so many places in the world- UAE, Oman, China, Mexico, Florida, California, whole over Europe...) Cerrro Chico Hotel had given a perfect atmosphere. Very clean and nice appartment with typical style of Andes area. Nice breakfast and perfect travel recommendations by the owner Nour. Even... More

Great location! Best views ever. Okay breakfast. Nice staff. Beautiful spacious cabins. Lovely garden. And last but not least, a wonderful and colorful host. The best place to stay if you go to quebrada/ jujuy. We used Cerro Chico as our base, stayed for 5 nights! It is a 20/30 min walk to the tilcara village, a beautiful walk. If... More

Our cabin at Cerro Chico was sweet and private with incredible views across the valley to the red mountains on the other side. We were in Quebrada de Humahuaca for three days and this was a great location to stay at during our visit - easy to get south to Purmamarca and to see the salt flats at Salinas Grandes... More

We booked for two nights but eventually stayed for four because the location, the view, the cabanas and the quietness were simply amazing. On top of that came two wonderful people, Nourredine and Evelyne, who had really amazing tips regarding the area and interesting stories to tell. We really would have stayed longer if we wouldn't have had to catch... More

Don't try to find this place after dark! It is set on the hillside behind the town of Tilcara and the view from the rooms is stunning, especially in the morning. However, once you turn into town off the highway, you must drive a couple of kilometres over some very rough unpaved road with little signage. There are only 7... More
