I was a little concerned after reading previous reviews re: remodeling; location. However, I was very impressed with my stay here. The staff was more than helpful, no remodeling noise (they did state they were down to the last 2 floors but I would never have known it was even happening if I hadn't of asked upon check-in). The room... More

Thank you for your kind words concerning our hotel. While we have been under renovation in some areas, we do try and limit the exposure of that work to our guests. We do have a few rooms remaining on our schedule, and will do our best to make sure that it is not a bother. Renovations can sometimes present challenges,... More

This place is in need of major overhaul, which I can especially appreciate after just staying in the Marriott San Diego. Not the same chain. Cheapest carpeting, gouged, worn furniture. Mattress that reminded me I had had a back problem that hadn't been present for years, though the bed could make a good trampoline if you have kids. Minimal exercise... More

Thank you for taking the time to pass along your comments on your stay with us, at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa. While I am appreciative of the kind comments you made about the staff, I am apologetic for the comments about the condition of the hotel. We renovated 1/2 of our hotel rooms two years ago, and are in the... More

I just got home from a 2 night weekend stay at this hotel. It was not planned as it was a last minute trip to visit family. Most hotels in the area we were looking to stay were booked for Spring Training. I booked this hotel mainly because I needed to 2 beds and it was newly updated. The hotel... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond concerning your visit with us here in Mesa. I have shared your positive comments with the staff. The downtown Mesa area is 3 blocks from us, and is undergoing a massive makeover. The light-rail will be completed into downtown by the 1st quarter of 2015. This will provide links to... More

The hotel is dated, clean, but dated. The check-in did not go smoothly (have already contacted hotel and manager responded to said it would be a learning experience for employees). We just were not that pleased with the hotel itself and will not be recommending it to anyone.

Venita, Thank you for your response. As I alluded to in our earlier communication, the "learning experience" would be for our staff recognition of you as a Marriott Rewards member. I have discussed that with my Front Office Manager. The hotel was coming off of a completely sold out situation, and we were able to get you into a room... More

A great location in Mesa. Hotel is a little dated but very clean. Location is excellent as it is in downtown Mesa. Has a nice courtyard as well as a very good restaurant. You can have buffet or order off of the menu. Staff were very helpful.

I stayed at this hotel recently with two other guests. Our room was supplied with one bath towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth for three people. The lack of towels contined on a daily basis. Why is it not possible to figure out that three guests in a room means that three sets of towels should be placed in... More

Thank you for taking the time to inform of us about your stay. The amount of towels that were placed in your room--or more importantly, not placed in your room has been reviewed with my Housekeeping Manager. The associate that serviced your room during that time period has also been spoken to. The performance by our staff was, and is,... More

Don't stay here if you want polite service when things don't go as planned. My brother and his bride booked a "block" of rooms (which were scattered throughout the hotel) approximately a year in advance of their wedding. We got the the Marriott and everything seemed fine. Until midday when the sun hit our window and our room reached over... More

Booked the room for a guest and his wife that are speaking at our church. Our church is nearby so this was the ideal location. From the very beginning I got the run around from the hotel staff as to how much our room rate would be due to me using some of my reward points. When I asked if... More

I struggled as to whether to give it 4 stars. I like the hotel a lot. The new lobby is modern and comfortable with inviting spaces. Even a fire pit outside to sit at and talk. The front desk staff was great. The room I was in was one of the refreshed rooms and so everything was newer with standard... More

Room on the club level was spacious, well appointed and in perfect shape - must have been renovated very recently. Great views towards the mountains. Considering the reasonable rate it was better than I expected and one of the nicer Marriotts in the chain.

We appreciate you taking the time to comment on your stay with us. You were correct in pointing out that our upper floors had been renovated.
