Gad.....come on people. There are lots of hotels that use the word "Cataract" or a variation thereof on both the Argentine and Brazilian side of Iguazu (Argentine Spanish spelling) or Iguassu (Brazilian Portuguese spelling) Falls. The EXE Hotel Cataratas is in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. Yes, it is showing it's age quite a bit. The carpet definitely needs replacing. There are... More

Stopped for one night only. The room was clean, bathroom also. The wifi actually worked pretty well in the room, unusual for Brazil. The breakfast buffet was very nice but limited on hot plates. Overall this is an OK hotel.

First and most important, it is definitely NOT a five-star hotel. Absolutely NOT! I paid for 3 days and 2 nights and when I arrived at 8am, they told me I had to pay for breakfast for the first day. Also, my last day they didn't have running water in the entire hotel, so I used a bottle of water... More

The hotel is old, and not very modern, but i enjoy very much the time that i spend here. Reception people are very helpful and quick. The rooms are big, and comfortable, sleap quality was very good for me. Brekfast is ok, not excelent but ok. They have a smal restaurant with chairs outside, wher i had a fantastic beef... More

It is a sad hotel. Obviously at some point in history it was granted with the 5 stars they exhibit at the door but it is not longer the case. Dirty carpets, weird color scheme on the walls...overall not nice. Cheap though, if you compare it with other hotels in the area. But still i wouldn't go there again.

the time stoped. and also the maintenance. Its obviously and old hotel. On the outside it proudly presents 5 stars. Guess because of the lack of maintenace, they haven´t brought down at least two stars. It sure not deserves them. The property is very big. It has a pool, a spa, a mini golf, a place to play games, etc,... More

But then again you're paying for the location, not the hotel. We had a problem with our reservation as in they couldn't find it! Whoever's fault it was, either the hotel itself or the booking agent we used, we shouldn't have been made to sit in Reception for an hour whilst they tried to work it out - that was... More

The hotel is quite big, large room and coridors. You can see that it was a nice hotel. But- today the maintanance is bad, carpets are ripped and dirty. We got a room with bad smell, but as we asked, it was replaced. The SPA is very good open hours 09:00-21:00 and so is the swwiming pool. It's not close... More

Well what can I say. In 1973 a 5 star hotel opens, and in 1973 this hotel was the talk of the town, in2014 it is still the talk of the town, but for many other reasons... It has not changed since. This includes the 1973 processed food menu!!!! The 1973 service, the 1973 furniture, towels, bedding.... It truly is... More

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast more than adequate plus the snack bar menu was very good. Hotel is getting a little tired in places, a bit like the whole of Argentina. Even so we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.
