We only stayed here for one night, as you don't need more than a day or two to see the falls, but it was a nice experience for the short while. The small resort is most definitely in the jungle, as are the nearby resorts. The pool was closed since it was winter, although it didn't feel like winter to... More

Watch out with booking the cabs!!! Reception only give business to 2 drivers Mateo 8 seater van and his brother. Because they are so busy servicing all the guests you often have to wait more than 20 mins and this should not be the case!!! You should be free to call your own cabby but watch how reception will interrogate... More

La Cantera is a small hotel that has all you need during your stay in Iguazu. The rooms are clean modern and functional. We were there during a cold spell and the heating was perfect. Every room has a balcony, a roof fan and an air conditioner. Our room was new. Nice comfy pillows and two extra beds (where our... More

We spent a few days here seeing the falls and relaxing. Overall it is a good hotel. We were out of season, the pool was out of order and a fair bit of construction (shame we were not told pre visit). The food was good and the layout and rooms of good quality. On the down side, on going out... More

I spent 3 nights in La Cantera, The attention/reception was good, I got a really nice room ( Forest)....The hotel is 1.5 Km from the main road,a nice walk during the day,Apart from the Iguazu falls which are beautifull, the hotel is walking distance from The Aripuca ( worth seeing!) and there are 2 Guarani Aborigen settlements worth visiting (... We arrived and the reception was so helpful, they organised a taxi shuttle instantly for us, so we didn't waste any time getting to the Brazilian side. The room was perfect, modern and clean! We ended up eating in the Restuarant both nights we stayed there because the food and service was so good. The information they provide at reception... More

Visited this hotel twice, the second time I found it was a little run down but its location is wonderful. We visited the falls on the Argentinian side and on the Brazilian side, did rafting in the falls and took a helicopter ride overt he falls. An experience not to be missed. The Iguazu falls embraces three frontiers, Argentina, Brazil... More

During our stay, the service was excellent. We stayed in the "Forest" and the room was great, with a balcony and view on the tropical trees. The breakfast buffet was great with a large variety of foods, and the asado with live music on Friday night was a feast. We can recommend the Cantera Lodge to anyone visiting the Iguazú... More

we booked Superior room for $150, checked-in in the morning, drop our luggage and got to the waterfalls. At night we were surprised, that our room "is broken" and we can't stay there! Nobody sent an SMS or phone call or even e-mail! We got a surprise at 9pm when we were quite tired. They proposed us another hotel, but... More

We had 3 nights here during a visit to Igauzu Falls. The Lodge is in the rain forest about 15 minutes from Airport and Falls. Reception was average, poor English spoken by check in girl. The hotel has seen better days, rooms and surroundings were a little tardy. Spa on back deck was not operating and dirty. The food in... More
