This was a splendid hotel nestled into the forest. We stayed here as part of our Imagine Latin America trip. Really lovely staff and a lovely room with balcony and hammock. Lunches are basic by the pool but dinners are fab with really great staff and a great feel to the place. Breakfasts are good too although it is very... More

We liked the hotel. It was quiet and really cool to listen at night to the sounds of the jungle. The location is well off the main road so be prepared to walk or take a taxi. They offer a shuttle to Puerto Iguazu (for free) which was nice. The room was comfortable, but showed signs of disrepair. For example,... More

What a great place to stay La Cantera was! Luxurious room in a jungle setting, good bathroom facilities and a screened-in porch to enjoy the environment. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast excellent and lunch/dinner super (yes you have to reserve a dinner time, but what's the big deal?) Wifi was excellent, especially compared to what I expected... More

We stayed at La Carntera for 4 nights while visited the falls. The stay was somewhat comfortable, but it could have been a lot better. Cons: The water has 2 temperatures scalding hot and freezing cold that oscillates while you are taking a shower. We also experienced one day without hot water. The internet only works in the lobby. They... More

We only stayed here for one night, as you don't need more than a day or two to see the falls, but it was a nice experience for the short while. The small resort is most definitely in the jungle, as are the nearby resorts. The pool was closed since it was winter, although it didn't feel like winter to... More

Watch out with booking the cabs!!! Reception only give business to 2 drivers Mateo 8 seater van and his brother. Because they are so busy servicing all the guests you often have to wait more than 20 mins and this should not be the case!!! You should be free to call your own cabby but watch how reception will interrogate... More

La Cantera is a small hotel that has all you need during your stay in Iguazu. The rooms are clean modern and functional. We were there during a cold spell and the heating was perfect. Every room has a balcony, a roof fan and an air conditioner. Our room was new. Nice comfy pillows and two extra beds (where our... More

We spent a few days here seeing the falls and relaxing. Overall it is a good hotel. We were out of season, the pool was out of order and a fair bit of construction (shame we were not told pre visit). The food was good and the layout and rooms of good quality. On the down side, on going out... More

We arrived and the reception was so helpful, they organised a taxi shuttle instantly for us, so we didn't waste any time getting to the Brazilian side. The room was perfect, modern and clean! We ended up eating in the Restuarant both nights we stayed there because the food and service was so good. The information they provide at reception... More
