We were really looking forward to our stay at De La Fonte as a base for our exploration of the Falls and as it was the last stop on our trip to Argentina, we'd plumped for Superior rooms for that little bit of luxury to finish off the holiday in style. The actual location of the hotel is a little... More

As soon as you leave the street and enter the courtyard, you're treated with warm, personal service. The standard room was huge and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and the restaurant is first-class. We chose to eat there for both nights of our stay rather than make our way into town. The owner is warm and friendly and... More

Plus points: a very helpful reception team (and manager), good wifi in our experience, a nice clean pool, good housekeeping standards, and an uncrowded feel - it was never difficult to get seats poolside for example. And there's a really friendly and helpful taxi driver connected to the hotel, Julio. A good and reliable man. We stayed 4 nights but... More

The Italian owner of this hotel and her staff really go out of their way to make this place the intimate experience it was for us. They have the La Fonte restaurant right on site and although I am a 'foodie' this ranks right up there with the most unbelievably perfect meal of a lifetime. Everything was so perfectly cooked... We spent a couple of nights here in mid-November as a base for visiting Iguazu Falls. We had a superior room and our friends had a standard room. Our room was large with a large bathroom and was worth the extra cost of the superior room with the larger rooms and a private, quiet rear fenced patio. Beds were comfortable,... More

This accommodation was acceptable but was nothing particularly special. Smallish room and we were at the back of the compound with a lot of morning noise from dogs. Pool water was cool and the "hot" tub was tepid temperature. NOTE: hotel warns they will charge a corkage fee for any beverages brought in from outside the hotel. Front desk was... More

First of all, I think the boutique-hotel denomination is a rather abused concept. I don't think giving a glass of champagne upon arrival, having rooms with names (instead of numbers) and a gastronomic restaurant on site makes an hotel a boutique-hotel, especially when the rooms do not really have a signature design. But, don't be turned back already, the hotel... More

This was a great place to stay and the food at the restaurant was beyond fantastic. One of the best meals we've had anywhere. The staff was friendly and always helpful. I would highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

The staff was excellent! Very friendly, helpful, attentive. The food in the restaurant was great, even though a bit pricy if you consider the small portions. Breakfast was very nicely presented. I personally missed salty food, too many sweet things. The room was very clean, spacious (except bathroom), comfortable and cleaned every day. FYI: Unfortunately, taxis and busses charge tourists... BHDLF is tucked away from town, but its gates open up to charming grounds. Our room was stylishly decorated, but on the smaller side and the bathroom was tiny! Breakfast was beautifully presented, but heavy on carbs. Dinner was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and something we looked forward to each night of our stay. We enjoyed chatting with the owner Simona, who...
