Sometime, in the hostels you can get everything even what you dont need. In that one, you get just the main and most important stuff: a view as you were dreaming, a real backpackers (no fake ones), so many activities to do around and especially, a great welcoming from Alejandro and all the staff. I did hundred hostels around the... More

I read a few bad reviews about this hostel, so I was curious what will expect me. I arrived at midday and had a warm welcome. Alejandro checked me in and helped me with all information I needed. Busses, direction, time.... He offered us blankets at night when it got colder, also tea or coffee to warm up. it wasn't... More

The hostel is decent and you get what you can expect from a solid hostel. Dorms are not very spacious, water was allways warm and the kitchen wasn't very well equiped. Two things that bothered us: - Transportation to town is anoying. There exists only an expected arrival time in town that means that you have to wait at a... More

We had a really nice stay in this hostel. The surroundings are beautiful and the hostel has a good and relaxed vibe. It is about a 2 hour drive away from Mendoza and gives you an opportunity to be at a less touristy place. We celebrated Christmas eve at this place. It was awesome. The owner had prepared food for... Best thing about this place is the location, you have the Andes at your doorstep! Superb view, no doubt about it- Unfortuantely the only good thing to say. Like most have said the rate is too high for the value. It is difficult to get information about activities to do in the area because there are no pamplets and the... More

Regarding your comments, let me tell you that we do speak English in our Hostel! The problem was that it was my days off at the hostel! You state that you had trouble with the buses and that there were no bus schedule, I think you did not see it next to the reception! The price of our hostel is... More

Things I did like: Outdoor setting Open fire in kitchen Things I didn't like: The blood stained duvet The balls of dust and hair under the rickety bed The staff knowing absolutely nothing about helping with local buses and taxis to town Having to start our own fire after asking 3 times as it was freezing Only a small electric... The blood stain that you mention is NOT a BLOOD STAIN... it is a coffee stain that guests dropped in the room even though it is not allowed to drink in the rooms. Besides blood stain are dark brown or red and your photo shows a light brown stain and it would easily come off with water, but we took... More

The second dinner I had here was very good, as was the breakfast. The first was decidedly average but overall I liked the place. It's 7 km from the town so a car is useful, buses only go by about 4 times a day.

Thank you for your comments about our meals and breakfast! The distance to the village is 7 km but precisely that is why our guests come and visit us! Our hostel is located in a privileged place in the heart of the Andes, is the ideal place to rest specially after being in big cities. Staying with us you can... More

This hostel is very basic and the cheapest one in the area, but the price is high for what it is. It was 110 pesos per person for a dorm bed and the dorms are really small with hardly any room to move around or put your bags. There is no AC or fan, so we slept with the windows... More

The scenery really is spectacular. We booked a private room but switcht to another because there seem to be bedbugs. We got another room wich was better, but still with very old and not supportive matresses. They served a good breakfast for Argentinian standards. Overall I think it's overpriced for what you get. Maybe the cabins are a better option, since... More

We stayed there for one night and we had a terrible experience. The room was horrible. Cramped, no hot water and loud. It faced the road. The mattresses were very old and not supportive. The pictures on the website show an ambience totally different than what it is. One good thing: breakfast was very good. Only!
