We visited La Carmelita during our 3 1/2 week tour to Argentina. We already knew Nicole from Switzerland. Hence this was the moment to visit her at her new "home". Nicole hadn't changed. She still has her friendly, warm, open and direct character - still positive thinking. And La Carmelita? For me it's a bit heaven on earth. For all... More

Nicole and her perssonel give excellent service, very social and friendly. The rooms are large and have a nice patio towards the Andes. Horses and lamas and lots of friendly dogs. Breakfast is made with care and homemade bread and jam. The pool is situated close to the mainhouse and not far from our quarters. Nicole, thank you again for... More

What a charming spot and perfect venue for exploring the wine country around San Rafael. The hotel consists of a large central building with the individual rooms in smaller buildings placed around the ample grounds. The property has llamas, horses, chickens, geese,a colony of burrowing owls, lots of friendly dogs and cats, and,of course,a vineyard and fruit trees that provide the most delicious apricots and nectarines that... I had an excellent stay at the very charming finca. It made me want to to quit my job and buy a farm in San Rafael! It was absolutely gorgeous - both the landscape and the lovely brick farm cottages. Nicole and Gustavo, and their small crew of helpers (in their early 20's, and traveling the world by working on... More

this is a beautiful, well appointed property in a rural setting, yet only a stones throw from san rapheal and valle grande. all the rooms look to the andes, and there is a wonderful array of animals on the premises....lamas, horses, dogs and cats. the hostess/owner nicole is fluent in several languages, and her staff are warm and considerate, and... I and my partner (back then, currently hubby!!) visited here last March, not this year, however as TA only allows reviews back in Nov last year I simply choose March this year. FYR. We planned to stay there for just 2 nights and move to Mendoza but as we really loved to be there, we cancelled one night in Mendoza... More

We stayed at Carmelita for 4 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the estate. Besides the beauty of the land with vines, olive trees and plum trees, Nicole, the owner, made the stay even better. She painstakingly gave us directions and recommendations every night, graciously sharing her kitchen when I fell ill and couldn't stomach another parilla dinner, besides arranging... More

We enjoyed our three night stay at Finca De La Carmelita, a high end rural 8 room hotel, with well marked directions just outside of San Rafael, a short 10-15 minute drive to the city center. The hotel is off of Route 143, just past the airport. Unlike bike/wine tours in Mendoza, in which one rides on the shoulder of... More

Nicole and her staff is giving excellent service to their customers. The rooms are spacious for a hotel, with a nice patio overlooking the Andes. Breakfast is personally made for each guest and at the time you indicate the night before. The hotel is off the city center, quiet and gives you views at night of start skies that you... More

The perfect setting at the feet of the Andes. You arrive and you are welcomed like if you would be returning home. We (2 adults and two children) stayed at La Carmelita for 7 nights. The rooms are comfortable and clean and offer a wonderful view over farmland to the mountain cain of the Andes. Service to the guest is... More
