My wife and I traveled to Mendoza from Santiago, Chile for a 5 day getaway. we were looking for a centrally located hotel, and Cordon del Plata did nt fail. It is close enough to the center of the city so you can walk to most anything the city has to offer. The chec in was very smooth and the... More

The lobby of the hotel looks really nice - a well known tric of hotels in Argentina to get more stars than the hotel is actually worth. Had to wait quite long to check in (always busy at the front desk), but staff is friendly. The rooms are pretty run down and smelly, old dusty carpet, pillows with spots and... More

You get what you pay for. For around $60 (US), you'll an average room in a somewhat run down hotel. The smell of the room deoderizer was overpowering and the carpet was gross. Lame breakfast. On the plus, fairly quiet and sorta helpful front desk folks. In short: passable if you're traveling on the cheap, but later in the week... More

Cordon del Plaza is a nice hotel: it's clean, have a good staff, good breakfast and its rooms are quite confortable. While its location is not bad, I would recommend something closer to Plaza Independencia, where a number of hotels, restaurants and stores are located. But the worst thing in the hotel is its parking facilities. The hotel does not... More

I travelled with my boyfriend to Mendoza and stayed in this hotel in 2009. I was very surprised! Very comfortable, clean, and great location. I'm allergic to dust and mold but had no problem there. Very good!!!!

Good location, very close to street with restaurants and shops. Security was poor: window didn't lock, so someone could easily have climbed in from corridor, and doorknob was broken, as if someone had previously tried to break in. My bar of soap that I carry on my travels was thrown away by the housekeeper -- annoying! Reasonable buffet breakfast included... More

While I was cautiously optimistic due to the other reviews, I checked in with an open mind. The front desk staff was helpful, spoke English and let me check in at 10:30am. I asked for an inside room to avoid any street noise (I learned from my hotel in Buenos Aires). Sadly, inside rooms and outside rooms are not exempt... More

There were pluses and minuses to this place. On the plus side, the location is great - just a few blocks from main square and walking distance to many of the sights. Plus it is very inexpensive for only $AR 155 for a standard room. And the staff is friendly and courteous. But on the downside, the rooms and the... More
