Even on advertising materials it looks pretty well almost everything what was advertised (or maybe all) was not true. The owner behavior was very strange, your fat son was downright annoying, breakfast was poor, advertised wine for free was really disgusting, etc. In addition to all those mentioned above the landlord took from us 180 USD to give us (four... Strangest hostel I have stayed at..and I've stayed at a few. Although billed as a family hostel, this is one family I would not want to be a part of. The owner is inappropriately friendly with the female guests, asking one of my friends to sit on his lap. At the same time he has very public arguments with his... More

Pretty bad hostel. Dirty and loud. Typical rich kids traveling party hostel. But nice and cheap if you don't mind that stuff and need a bed for a night...

We also had a very bad experience with this hostel. It started with our food being taken out of the fridge by his two fat children (they really do eat all day long) and when we told the owner about our food being stolen, he felt really attacked and started to be agressive and blamed everyone in the hostel except... I´d a creepy feeling from the owner (Ariel) from the start and the walls and bed covers were covered in stains! We were booked for 3 nights but had to stay for 1 more night. On day 2 we asked him if he had availability for an extra night-he said that he had but that we would need to vacate... More

Don't be fooled by Ariel or his son. This place is awful. My two friends and I were lured to the hostel by his son. Long story short, we woke up on our final morning to find that all of our skiing equipment was gone from his "secure luggage storage room." That's three ski bags, six sets of skis, avalanche... First off, the location was terrible. A friend was stabbed in the chest down the road from the hostel. Next, the hostel owner would arbitrarily raise the already high price of services (day trips, barbeques, room prices). The hostel owner LIVES at the hostel with his two sons. The eldest son is allowed to eat the guests' food from the... More

Well, where to begin. You will probably see the hostel advertising that they are 5 blocks from the city center and 5 blocks from the bus station. Neither of these are true. While they are not too much further from the bus station, they are probably a 30 minute walk to the areas of interest in Mendoza. As we are... More

The owner had a hiden camera int he shower taping guests for his own pleasure! While staying here a yound lady that I had become friends with and who was staying in the 12 person dorm room came to me one night and told me that they had found a camera behind a fake plant in the shower of their... I would never recommend this hostel to anyone...it was a nightmare!! We prepaid for three nights plus put down a 30 peso deposit and found out the afternoon of the first night (the night before Christmas eve) that my mother has cancer. We let him know immediately what happened, that we were changing our plans, and leaving the following morning... More
