Absolutely loved the place. Try to go to a place like this in California, it'll be at least twice the price. The staff, especially in the evening was great - very friendly and helpful. We were there in May, so it wasn't peak season, which I think was great. The setting is fantastic, from the second floor above the restaurant... more

We stayed in Club Tapiz for four nights during our Honeymoon and we just loved it. The hotel is full of character. The rooms are nicely decorated and arranged around a garden-courtyard. It was lovely to sit outside and read there in the evenings. There is also a beautifully decorated sitting room. We really enjoyed the complementary wine tastings that... more

Once we arrived at the hotel we were extremely excited to stay at such a beautiful property... but unfortunately the excitement continually declined from there. The front desk staff at Club Tapiz attempted to be helpful, but fell short on nearly every occasion. The frustrating experiences with the staff varied from having to follow up with 3 different staff members... more

After spending two days in Mendoza (city) we decided to head out to a bodega to spend a couple of nights in the country. Club Tapiz which is sort of in-between Lujan de Cujo and Maipu seemed the perfect choice. The grounds were beautiful and the setting quite relaxing and peaceful. THE UPSIDE: The staff was very friendly and knowledgable... more

We really enjoyed our one-night stay here. The rooms are a bit more spartan than I expected, but the restaurant was excellent and the hospitality very good. We also enjoyed the wine tasting the hotel had and still buy their wine back here in the states. Very relaxing place more

We stayed for one night (only) on the way back from Antucura. It was sort of a disappointment. Lots of people told me great things about it and I think I was expecting too much (especially after Antucura). The building and surroundings are nice but the rooms are very small and in our case the only daylight was thru a... more

I can't enough good things about Club Tapiz. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon in Oct. 2007, and we had excellent service through and through. One of our favorite features was the (free) wine tastings each night. It gave us a chance to meet the guests--- it doesn't get much better than enjoying wine,... more

We spent four wonderful days at Club Tapiz and ditto all the positive reviews below. While there is no shortage of activities in the area --- wineries, Mendoza museums, biking, etc --- it was hard to leave the comfort of the inn garden. The restaurant is terrific, and the staff is happy to recommend other great places to eat. Note... more

Our experience of Club Tapiz varied from day to day, which might account for the two recent divergent reviews. It depends entirely on who is on duty. At the beginning of the stay, the manager did not seem to have a grip on her job and seemed overwhelmed. Our last night another manager arrived who was very knowledgeable, welcoming and... more

This was my first booking through i-escape.com and I can now say that this is a great website and way to book. They take a deposit on behalf of the property and the information/reviews/photos on the site are entirely accurate. We took two rooms of the seven available at Club Tapiz and were very pleased with this lovely little place.... more
