Stayed at this hotel before and after climbing Mount Aconcagua. Central location, quiet rooms, staff were exceptionally helpful. However that's where it ends, as others have said about its dated-ness I would agree entirely. Its dated-ness would be ok for a hostel but with the tag of Hotel they clearly need to spend some money on this hotel. It was... More

But the hotel is old, dirty and smelly. There have clearly been people smoking in the rooms and there are even ashtrays. The carpets and soft furnishings are disgusting and are probably the same ones that were here when German refugees came here after the second world war. The lifts are a miracle that they are still working. Grand is... More

The beds are uncomfortable, breakfast is poor quality, the lift is a death trap, the shower is inadequate, the AC noisy and is controlled from the front desk. Its only redeeming feature is that the staff are very friendly.

If you're looking for a place to just lay your head and shower, then this is your hotel. It's old, there's no charm, and is dirty. The rooms are barely large enough to turn around in. It smells and the elevators are old fashioned - you have to close an accordian type of door in order for it to work.... More

The hotel was downtown in the tourist area which I really liked. You could walk outside and be immediately thrust into the Mendoza street life. The only real draw back was the desk service. They could have smiled more. It seemed at times I was inconveniencing them to be a quest. Maybe they were all having a bad day. Overall... More

This is not a grand hotel, and I doubt it ever was. It's all a bit old fashioned but without the charm that would allow it to carry it off. You could call it eccentric, but that is being a bit kind. From the plastic flowers, to the cabinets filled with stuffed toy animals, to the swimming pool in a... More

A very nice European style hotel right in town on a tree-lined street.. Bathroom was clean and modern, room large. Very nice large lobby and restaurant. Breakfast (included) was very good. The desk staff's English wasn't the greatest, some spoke English better than others, but we always managed to communicate well enough. They will arrange tours (the all day High... More

According to its price, it should offer the best services, or at least the ACCEPTABLE ones. Bathrooms lack cleanliness and good taste . The swimming pool is just a utopia, just as the jacuzzi. Besides, and WHAT IS UNACCEPTABLE, the air conditioning cannot be controlled from the room, i.e. it is turned on and off by the reception. VERY DISAPPOINTING... More

This hotel is in a good location, about 2 blocks from the center of town and the park. Rooms were ok, but not as up to date as other 3 * I have been in. Price was about $45 per night for 2. Wierd: The A/C is turned on by a phone call to the front desk. (not a problem,... More
