The hotel was located at a suburb of Mendoza. It is a good area though a fair walk to the main square. The walk itself is pleasant so not a big deal if not in a hurry. The rooms are clean but I wouldn't rate it 4 star. The breakfast is average, service was so-so. Overall pretty ordinary, nothing terrible... More

We were recommended to Dakar by our previous b&b hostess, and told it was 'near' the red light district, so we would need to taxi anywhere we went at night. It is firmly situated in the seediest corner of Mendoza, with 'ladies of the night' hanging out on every corner. When we returned to the hotel around midnight, my girlfriend... More

We made a booking here as some of my first choices were not available, and this is a good place for the price paid, a nice 3 star hotel. The location is not ideal, but not too bad-just about walking distance to the shopping area, and the cafes and simple eateries in the pedestrianised part of Sarmiento, however you need a taxi... More

I was not impressed by this hotel, as I was expecting something better. I'm not saying it's a terrible place, however: a. without checking their system, the hotel manager responded quite adamant & harshly that they didn't either receive or respond to our email requesting the extension of an existing reservation; as soon as he run a search, he could... This is a an average and nothing special 3 star hotel. Most of hotels in Mendoza are located in 5th and 1st section and this one is particularly in another section of the city: 2nd section in a neighbourhood which is not precisely for tourists. A taxi is necesary for the short ride from Plaza Independencia, for example. Breakfast is... More

The hotel is OK for the price, but I was in a room with a smell of humidity, the location is not so good. However is not a bad option for a few nights. Too much noise too from the street. El hotel esta bien por el precio que tiene, la habitacion en la que me quede tenia olor a... More

The Dakar provides good value in a convenient location, though a bit of a walk from the main shopping and tourist areas. We were able to walk to the hotel from the bus station. The rooms are large, but simply furnished. The bathroom is clean and modern. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is continental and ordinary. We made... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and were very pleased with it. The rooms were clean, spacious and well decorated. The hotel is located 4-5 blocks from the main tourist area - aprox. 10 minutes walk. We used the spa - which is about $5 extra for the day (the use of the gym is free) and they... More

I wound up staying at this hotel after fleeing the Gala apart Hotel. The hotel was clean, relatively modern and comfortable. However the best part of my experience were my interations with the staff, particularly Raul at the front desk. He couldn't have been more helpful going out of his way on any request or question. The rest of the... More

Overall I had a decent stay here for $60/night. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was simple but adequate--medialunas, toast, orange juice, and coffee. Wifi in the lobby and breakfast area only. The hotel is not centrally located, and it is maybe about a 15 minute walk to the main area, but we didn't mind since... More
