Not enough can be said about this hostel! The rooms were basic but just right for what you use it for, the hostel itself was amazing; great common rooms, kitchen was nice, outdoor patio was brilliant in the evening (perfect for the free wine hour). But aside from the location, the service, the building, the food, the biggest value to... More

Lovely staff, awesome breakfast, free wine hour, couldn't be located in a better or more central place, hot showers. The hostel is a work in progress, not only was it not taken care of by the previous owners, but the building is old. But the time, energy and money put into running it is beyond belief. It does shut off... More

this hostel is great, really oldstyle with lovely rooms and a really nice space to chill and have a few drinks/eat.. The staff are lovely and they eve have a free wine hour from 7-8!! no complaints there. However we went in a group and we went out at night. but the hostel shuts eveything down, turns out the lights... More

We stayed for three nights in late April/early May. We arrived very early in the morning and were very happy to be allowed immediately into our private room. The room was small but comfortable, and though we were a bit worried about street noise at night, it was never a big problem. The clientele was young, but the noise level... More

I stayed here for a night over the Easter weekend. It was a nice place to stay, central location, near the plaza and supermarket and some decent restaurants. Free wine every evening is an added bonus, though this is of dubious quality (who am I to judge?), and decent breakfast in the mornings really helps (pancakes!). The dorms were kind... More

I stayed at Hostel Indpendencia for a few days on my way to Buenos Aires. I arrived at about 5.30am as buses from Santiago are motly night ones due to roadworkds on the pass. I was let in and shown into the lounge where I could lay on the couch and grab some more sleep. A little later the owner... More

Dear Manuela! Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your location with us. The rooms are generous and Manuela and her staff are very friendly - trying to facilitate any wish we had. We felt at home and it was hard to leave when we had to. Give the pancake service in the mornings an extra eye and see how... More

This hostel has new owners that are doing a great job of making guests feel welcome. There are still some areas that need renovation (such as showers!) but overall its a place to meet friends, have a drink (free wine every night!) and enjoy a nice breakfast - a rare thing in Argentine hostels. Staff are fantastic. Highly recommended.

Rooms are ok- Valeria and Patricia who work in the kitchen are super super nice and helpful! They are lovely!!! Free wine daily between 7 and 8, pancakes every morning made fresh for you. Asado was ok- thought it would be longer lasted only 40 minutes so wasn't all you can drink/eat. I would stay here again.

The all female staff are amazingly friendly, and Manuela, the owner, continues this trend. She takes an avid interest in your travels and is more than happy to suggest tweaks to your plans to get an enriched experience. The free wine happy hour she provides gives an excellent opportunity to meet other travellers, making friends and often dinner partners for... More
