We stayed for 2 nights in a 6 bed dorm and it was good. Good bathrooms big showers and hot water. The staff was really helpful in every way and had answers to all our questions. The location is good, it's 3 blocks away from the main street.

We stayed here for three nights on the strength of a combination of positive trip adviser reviews and a bargain price for a double room, and can thoroughly recommend the hostel. The hostel itself is clean throughout, with good cooking and bathroom facilities. The location is within walking distance of the city centre. Above all, we found the staff to... More

This place is incredible. Very warmly welcomes on arrival and given a tour of the place. Beds are comfy, rooms spacious and bathroom cleaned and well stocked. Wifi works everywhere and they have two nice areas to sit outside and chill. Good selection of beers and soft drinks sold by the hostel. The breakfast is impressive for such a budget... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. Good location and offers lots of tours to book on to. Great breakfast with freshly baked bread/cakes every morning. The hostel is sociable but also quiet at night. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

30 years have passed since I had last stepped foot on 'argentine soil'. The Lagares hostel proved to be the perfect base for me to relive my own personal horrors and the fantastic vineyards just outside the city. Location of the hostel is good, two minutes from San Martin and around a 15 walk to plaza indepenza, although due to... More

We only stayed one night, hostel was full over Easter. Javier, the owner was very helpful over email and even more so in person when we met him the next day, apologising for not having space and offering advice and support if we got into difficulty, we liked him! He was equally helpful with the other guests Unfortunately there was... More

From the moment I arrived Javier made me feel very welcome. I arrived early from a night bus and he managed to get my bed in the dorm ready for me pretty quickly, which I really appreciated. He also arranged for all my laundry to be done, changed some money for me and booked me on a bike tour within... More
