Great staff in a little and nice hostel. The walls were recently painted, so the smell was terrible inside the dorm, but everything else was good! The breakfast starts at 7am, so it's possible to wake up early and still have a nice breakfast.

Average hostel apart from the staff who are very friendly and helpful. Stayed in the 6 bed dorm which is big with plenty of space, only problem is the noise from the street with cars and motorbikes going up and down all night. There is a door onto a balcony and large window which let in all the noise. Showers... More

Ciaran thank you very much for taking your time to complete the review. sorry about the traffic noise but keep in mind 2 things, first that we are in the middle of a big city like Mendoza, so it is quite logical that have traffic 24 hours a day. Second and most important is that Mendoza is considered the loudest... More

Stayed here for longer than expected as the border to Chile was closed due to the snow. The staff were very helpful and called the border every morning, helped us move our bus tickets and were always smiling. The 6 bed dorms are very clean and there is huge lockers to store all your things in. there are loads if... More

The hostel is very clean and well kept. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm and there was plenty of space as well as large lockers that could store even my massive backpack! The shared bathrooms were regularly cleaned and always had hot water. There is a communal area to meet people or just chill on the sofa and watch... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in August and had a great stay. The dorms are spacious with comfortable beds and huge lockers and a plug socket for each bed. Bathrooms are clean with good hot showers. Breakfast is fine, with tea/coffee, toast and cereal. There's a nice social vibe about the place, not a party place but we met... More

If you're after a party hostel, this isn't it - Hostel Lagares is the comfy-est, homey-est, cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff are super helpful - the reception people are always there to answer your questions and put on movies. The morning breakfast lady/cleaner was so lovely and accommodating. Sure it's quiet, but after you go out and... More

Stayed three nights in the hostel and it was one of my best hostel experiences ever. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Never took longer than 5 minutes to get a really helpful and honest information about tours or the city itself. The rooms are really big with enormous lockers. They make your bed every day, so when... More

I was in this hostel a few weeks ago and honestly was one of the best I have visited in years. There is nothing in particular that stands out, just everything works and everything is very well designed for passenger comfort. The attention of the staff is amazing, helped me at all. Definitely recommend and would stay again in Lagares.
