This hostel is in a great location within moments of chile plaza and right next to a large supermarket. The rooms are spacious and the common areas are great. The only negative about the place was they want to charge you for storing your bag during the day. It's the only hostel I have been too that has tried that.

We stayed in a double room, with a private bathroom which was not attached to the room. The room was small but clean, the bathroom less clean and a bit dingy. Good location and near a supermarket. Staff were friendly and it was a well organised hostel with good common areas / kitchen etc. Breakfast was fine.

The staff was really nice on check in. We rented a car, and they have plenty of parking. 2 spots on the property and plenty of open and free spaces across the street. So that was great. The common areas look nice. Our room looked very dated, but certainly adequate. Good AC. Ceiling fan made a weird noise so we... More

Stayed in room 2, a 4 bed room and used the shared bathroom. Well located. Hostel is in a large converted home. Supermarket across the road and walking distance from lots of restaurants and cafés. Staff were helpful, lots of open areas to sit and relax. Decent wifi. Cost USD9 per person per night to stay in this room.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a standard double bedroom with bath. It was the smallest room we had in 5 months in South America. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the kitchen and general areas were quite good. It was full all of the time. Located near a supermarket and a few blocks from the main... More

As older travelers, we booked a standard private room with bath, which was fine. FY, the deluxe private rooms are by the patio - a bit larger than standard but also noisier because the kids hang out and smoke in front of the doors. Our room was upstairs in a quiet corner - basic, clean, a bit dank but serviceable.... More

I had a wonderful stay at Hostel Alamo and met friendly faces from all around the globe. If you are looking for a hostel where guests gather on a sunny private patio for a beer, look no further. The owner/staff are extremely helpful and make you feel right at home. The internet is great/high-speed...which is not always the case in... More

We stayed at Hostel Alamo for 7 days in a private ensuite room. All was very clean and comfortable. The public areas are quite nice, especially the garden. There is a small pool that provides a brief escape from the heat on really hot days. The hostel provides a continental breakfast which was good. All of the staff were extremely... More

It was fine. Located nicely, we had the room almost for ourselves, and the people working there were very helpful in many ways. Garden was alright, not really that much to say. Ehm, nice living room, fine with books, kitchen looked a bit rusty and so on. Didn't use it.

I definitely liked the hostel. Regularly and well cleaned every day. Huge lockers, which could fit just about anything. Really helpful staff, that were more than happy to arrange transportation, or purchase travel packages, or help in pretty much any way possible. All the major Argentinean beers sold there, which was convenient, especially for a couple of movie nights. Located... More
