Arrived without a reservation and was able to see the rooms before we decided to stay. Friendly hosts, clean, and a comfortable and warm atmosphere. A well maintained hostel which offers a great selection of activities in Mendoza. Wish checkout wasn't at 10am, but otherwise it was perfect.

the hostel is very well situated and almos every place can be reached on foot; people at the reception give you complete information on tours (wineries, ...), places to see in the city. The hostel is situated in a very quiet place, no noise can be heard from the street :)

The staff were really friendly and helpful when we stayed here. The private room in the garden was good value and the breakfast was decent too.PC's available to use also. Overall a very good hostel in a city that offers plenty.

The hostel is very beautiful, organized, it has a excellent location and a really good and willing staff. The only problem was about the bathroom. It stays outside of the room and the shower was cold!

The staff it's really nice and helpful. Dorms are wide and clean, the whole hostel is ABSOLUTELY clean. The build is beautiful, the room where we stayed has a balcony and it's lovely. It's very well placed, in a quite street but not that far from the night life streets. The breakfast was good, simple nothing to die for, but... More

Loved this hostel. It was clean, accommodating, centrally located (near a supermarket, several restaurants/bars, easy drive to bus station). Garden is great and the staff is very friendly & helpful--they arranged a wine tour and an Andes bus tour for us. Met lots of friendly people in the common area--ideal for socializing.

Stayed for a few days and had a wonderful time. The staff was really helpful and the hostel was really clean and tidy. Not to mention that the place was really beautiful and confortable. Keep in mind that this is not a party hostel, although we had daily meetings at late afternoon to drink wine and beer and get to... More

Located centrally and with a huge supermarket near by, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The downsides were that our private double room as just off the courtyard, which people enjoyed until the early hours, making an early night impossible. It also was a little damp due to poor ventilation. As long as you're happy to be out until... More

We stayed in a double room with ensuite. Possibly the smallest room we ever stayed in but made up for with the great location and facilities. The garden is very nice to relax in. We were also offered use of facilities after check out and paid a small charge for the use if secure storage.

Nice staff, good breakfast, warm and welcoming common space including a library, DVDs and television, good location and a small but appealing patio. What else can you long for when travelling as a backpacker? For me it was the perfect choice.

Welcome to Our Hostel...Bienvenidos! Hostel Alamo is among the most recent additions to Mendoza's hostel circuit. Once a family residence, we have renovated this beautiful and spacious home into a modern 14-bedroom hostel, while maintaining the integrity and charm of its original colonial style. The house was built in 1944 by the late architect Daniel Ramos Correa, who has made many significant architectural contributions to Mendoza, including participation in the city's main square, Plaza Independencia, and the Frank Romero Day Ampitheater, where the National Grape Harvest (Vendimia) Celebration is held annually. The lovely enclosed garden, terraces, fireplaces, and numerous windows throughout help to create the positive and cozy environment that is Hostel Alamo. Ideal Location...Hostel Alamo is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Mendoza, just a few blocks away from the main shopping and dining district. Literally just around the corner you’ll find one of the city’s newest and finest supermarkets, a bank, an internet and telephone cafe, a laundry facility, souvenir shops, kiosks, and a gas station, just to name a few.By car, we are merely 10 minutes from el Parque San Martín, 15 minutes from the bus terminal and 25 minutes from Mendoza’s Francisco Gabrielli Airport (better known as El Plumerillo). Our Mission...Hostel Alamo is owner-operated and together with our bilingual team, we strive to provide our guests with the highest standard of customer service with a personal touch. We make every effort to maintain a clean, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere where our guests will always feel welcome and safe.
