The two nights we booked here turned into four when we realised how awesome it was. This place is great, relaxed atmosphere but plenty going on if you want something to do. Everyone we met here was great and the owners can organise wine tours / horse riding and helped us to hire a car and drive to the mountains... More

Had a great time at Hostel Lao! This smaller style hostel gave you a feeling of home. Not a party hostel but still very social which was perfect. Extremely clean. Breakfast although simple was nice. Mike and Celestie were extremely helpful. As were all staff. Any issue, concern, request or question was solved by staff. Very knowledgeable of Mendoza recommending... More

There was a really nice homely feel to this place, staff were excellent! I was in a double room out the back with a shared bathroom, I couldn't lick my door and it was quite nosiey I could just here the people in the room attached to me but it was very clean and I would stay there again, just... We are really pleased you enjoyed the hostel. We would just like to say that the door locks perfectly, as we showed you when you checked in. What a shame you didn`t ask us again so we could have shown you how the key works. Its ironic you found the room noisey as literally all other guests say how peaceful... More

Friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Lots of tips about the tour excursions, places to eat and more. Great Ambiance with lots of comfortable common areas. We had a double room with ensuite facing the main road- a bit noisy early in the morning but otherwise clean and comfortable. Also close to the bus terminal.

We stayed for 8 days in this hostel and I can say it's amazing! It's super clean and tidy, they give you a generous breakfast every morning and the staff were very helpful when we wanted to book stuff (even when we were late), everyone there speaks english or enough english to help you out with anything, they're super helpfull... We stayed here in the private room for a few nights and enjoyed it very much. Celeste (one of the owners) and all the staff here are friendly and helpful. There are useful information on the tours or general Mendoza advices. Water is always hot and the TV in the private room is really a big plus, because it has... More

We had a private room sharing a bathroom which was absolutely amazing, separate from the hostel it was like a private townhouse. The bathroom was so spacious and spotless. Rooms were clean, spacious, fluffy towels, room to hang your clothes and huge windows looking out over the courtyard - beautiful. It's quiet here in the evening. The courtyard is lovely... More

Great place to stay if you are looking for a more relaxing experience, and not on the main street of bars/restaurants. Really close to the bus station and city transport. A few blocks from everything else. Really great and helpful staff. Our room, La Cava, was a bit musty and the sheets/bed were pretty awful but it was overall fine.... More

Glad you enjoyed your stay. I have to say if your think our beds and sheets were "awful" you must not have been to too many other places. Our sheets are clean and of a good quality and the matress is only 8months old and also good quality. Having just come back from a mini argentine/chile trip I can tell... More

Do not miss staying at Hostel Lao in Mendoza, it is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Great atmosphere (not party hostel) with common areas where you can chat with other travellers, hammocks to chill in. Well equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms and two really sweet dogs. Mike and Celeste are incredibly helpful and go out of their way... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Originally booked for 4 nights but decided to stay an extra 2. Really relaxed atmosphere created by Celeste and Mike and their friendly staff - hats off to the tall guy! Booked a few trips including wine tours and spa which we really enjoyed. Two lovely dogs that wouldn't fit in our backpack! Best... More

Hostel Lao is like a good friend's house where you can relax and meet people. Owned and run in a different style by English-Argentine travelers.
