Hostel Lao is the most wonderful place to stay when visiting Mendoza. The staff are fantastic and friendly and will give you the absolute best recommendations for how you should spend your time in town! In addition, the beds are comfy, location is great, and there is even a wonderful hostel puppy to snuggle up with next to the fire.... More

This was a really nice place to stay in Mendoza. Super friendly helpful staff and lots of good information on things to do. Dorms are nice and there are really cool communal areas. When we stayed the hostel had a chilled out vibe and was very social. If you get a chance try the BBQ loads of really really tasty... More

I discovered this hostel a couple of weeks ago and since them I use it as a base camp to explore the surrounding mountains. Is this kind of places where you feel like at home. Great stuff, friendly owners, relaxed spaces, nice environment, all that I usually look when staying in a hostel.

A great place, especially due to cosy lively vibe of people hanging out in the garden and at chairs, colourful interior and very attentive staff (top activity & food tips). The kitchen is large and very useful and you can easily meet people here ( and as well just do your own thing when your in the mood for that).... More

Overall a pretty nice place, hostel staff was pretty friendly, they have a nice outdoor garden lounge area also a small wine bar to choose from. Wi-Fi did not seem to work on upper rooms but it was fair on ground level. We would stay again if we are ever in Mendoza again.

We stayed in two of the double rooms, one with and one without bathroom. Both were clean, tidy and nicely decorated. The house is a great place with big areas to sit and relax in. The garden is lovely with seating and hammocks. Also a pool which was being maintained whilst we stayed but am sure it gets plenty of... More

We extended our stay here (8 nights altogether) because we were having a lovely time. It feels like an upmarket hostel: the house feels very homely, Celeste (her husband was in the UK- sorry we missed him!) and the staff were all such friendly, informative and cheerful people and we met many great travellers there too. The staff were very... More

When we stayed at the Lao there were single backpackers and couples staying there and it provided a great atmosphere. As a couple we often stay in hostels with private rooms so that we can meet people and easily book excursions. This hostel has a great vibe, lovely large communal areas, comfy beds, is clean and best of all have... More

I stayed in this hostal a number of years ago and all I can say is it has gone down the tubes. When I stayed here it was chilled, great BBQ and good free wine, but sadly that has all changed. Let's start at the beginning......the BBQ was sumptuous, lovely salads and great me. Now.... There was not enough salad... More

What a strange review. This guest has obviously not had a whole sausage off the BBQ and really taken it to heart. How else have we gone down hill? Are we now dirty? Unfriendly? Unsafe? Are the beds bad? Maybe the pillows? NO. Simply we can no longer provide an all you can eat BBQ with such high quality wine.... More

Excellent hostel set up perfectly for meeting other like minded travellers. Loads of outside and communal space so you can have private time relaxing. Very helpful staff. Very clean and well run. Up to date information available. They have a fantastic folder of 'things to do' which help you save money and get away from the traps of mass tourism!... More
