Possibly the best hotel in Carlos Paz. Located on the lake (as the name suggests), this is a sprawling character building. As with most hotels here, the lighting is low level and so it can appear dingy. Don't judge this by European standards and you'll be fine!

We were staying in a triple room (1 king bed in the main room with a single in an alcove). The room was very dark, partially below ground (the grass was at the level of the window sill) and adjacent to a road that seems to be a favorite of the local hoons. Location-wise the hotel is ok but it looks like a really bad ad on a travellers' magazine from the 80s. Bricks and wood, some uninteresting plants, lace curtains made of synthetic fabric. A nice webpage says that is a 4-stars hotel, but with luck, maybe 2 or 3*.
