Everything was good here until settling the bill. Our entire group were billed in US dollars and given a 'tourist' exchange rate for paying in pesos, even though previous emails showed the room rate quoted in pesos. The maitre d'hotel lost her temper with us and was quite unpleasant during the bill payment process. This left a bad taste in... More

This group of young Irish people booked their stay 6 months before their arrival date. At the booking time they were informed that the only way to accept this reservation was to give them a price in dollars, due to Argentina´s financial instability. At check out time, some of them stated they had to pay a lower amount stating that... More

We stayed for 5 nights early Jan. The owners Bjorn and Alicia run a great villa. We stayed in a standard room in the Painter house over looking the garden. Everyone was very welcoming . Grounds were beautiful and set up including pool was great. Really relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was the best we've had since being in Argentina. staff Vanessa... More

My sister and I stayed at Hotel Villa Victoria for approximately 3 weeks, April, 2013. The owners and the entire staff made us feel very much at home. Everyone was always professional, kind, friendly and willing to assist us in any of our needs. Walking proximity to the costanera, the center of Tigre, Puerto de Frutos, etc. We highly recommend... This Avis car hire slogan certainly applies here. The owners and staff go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel is in a lovely looking colonial style house set in lovely gardens with a swimming pool and tennis court. The room I stayed in - the Victoria suite - was very spacious with... More

Dear Janice, Thanks for your review and your opinions. First night you stayed in Suite Garbo – executive suite. It´s connected to the central A/C system. Obviously we didn´t operate it very successfully the first night. We therefor gave you an upgrade to our suite De Lux the second night. In this suite the A/C is operated by the guest... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night during the month of May in 2012. Me and GF live in BsAs, decided to spend a romantic night in Tigre. I suggest only staying here if you have a car, because even though we thought the walk would be nice, and it was mostly, it is still very far. Only good thing... More

Dear guest, Thanks for your review. It´s a great pity it´s written eight/nine months after your actual stay – that obviously lasted only one night. We are very sorry that you didn´t like Tigre, Hotel Villa Victoria, nor the restaurants you visited. However I want to take the opportunity to make some comments. There is nothing like ”the house” and... More

My husband and I are visiting B.A. for the month and had read the great TIGRE, Villa Victoria reviews so booked. We decided to walk from the train station to the Hotel , not realising it is as far away from the station and Sites as can be (no boat even picks up near by) The sidewalk is broken, busy... More

We, a family of 4, stayed at Villa Victoria for 2 nights. The hotel is a really charming place with nice swimming pool, tennis court and nice places for relaxation. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were overall kind and helpful. Only compliant is about the breakfast and the staff at breakfast - neither lived up to expectations... More

I went there with my family for two days (one night) to spend a quiet evening and sunny days at the pool. We had two infants and two toddlers with us. When we arrived we were told that there was an event for 80 people that evening, with loud music until 1.30am and fireworks. They suggested we dine out (even... More

This charming, converted mansion is about 5 minutes walk from the river and 25 minutes from the centre of town. The conversion is true to the origins of the mansion 100 years ago. The owners are excellent hosts and the staff is very hospitable. The hotel has a pool and a lovely veranda overlooking the gardens. The veranda is a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Villa Victoria is one of the oldest and most traditional properties in the historic part of Tigre. The building from 1900 has seen the old bourgeoisie escape their warm palaces in the city during the summer, to enjoy the breeze of the river and go rowing in the various old rowing clubs that still stand along the Tigre River, as a reminder of those days. The house with its galleries and gardens was an important place for musical reunions and social gatherings. Today, the house stands completely renovated to offer its guest its former splendid charm and personal attention , with modern accommodationsa and comfortable and spacey rooms and bathroom facilities. ... more   less
