As mentioned in other reviews the main thing this hostel has going for it is its convenient central location. That's about it. It is an unfriendly place which seems to house a large number of long-term residents rather than backpackers/travellers. The kitchens are poorly equipped with hardly any utensils & the boilers break down frequently so hot water is not... More

Stayed here for one night only given its location near the port and bus terminals. It is perfectly located near the main Avenue, near all the shopping. Reception is a bit standoff-ish, and common areas are spread out making. Did not see any kitchen facilities or cooking essentials, and WiFi only worked in common areas. I stayed in a 6-bed... More

I do concur with some of the negative comments. Good thing is that it is housed in a historic building but the flip side is that common facilities are failing eg toilet. It's door knob fell off the wifi can be quite a pain. Only available in the lounge and not in the room. Trying to get people to socialise... More

The hostel is well located, but accommodations are not good in first floor. One of the bathrooms discharge did not work the other day and did not warm water. There isn't wi-fi in the bedrrom. Worth paying a little more to stay in Florida.

First stop in South American 6 month trip, and was very impressed with the place, very clean, very friendly hostel staff. Very much recommend the walking tours the hostel puts on for free. However, it wasn't till I left it came to my attention that my malaria tablets were stole (which makes some parts of my trip difficult)...I can only... More

This hostel is so so good. Breakfast has bread and spreads but also fruit and yoghurt, huge rooms with high ceilings and fantastic bathrooms. Great wi-fi, lots of computers to use, great book exchange, enormous common area, a DVD room, small kitchen is the only downside. Great wi-fi, lots of help from staff if you need it for booking things.... More

Stayed here for the second time and would recommend this place. Good hostel option right in the middle of town on Av Corrientes. Staff are always friendly and Julietta was particularly so. Everyone speaks good English. Breakfast a bit average but rooms are clean and they have a left luggage room too. Recommended.

We stayed in a twin room which was spacious and clean. The shared bathrooms were clean part of the time. The breakfast was clinically good - similar to elsewhere in Argentina. What was disappointing is the level of friendliness and hospitality on hype front desk. We stayed with the hostel three separate times during our stay as we used it... More

There is no air conditioning or wifi in the rooms. We were there during a heat spell and we only had on fan between 6 people. Many of the other travelers were staying there for several weeks at a time and originate from somewhere else in South America. The kitchens are terrible. Wifi is only in the common room, which... I stayed in the hostel for 2 weeks over summer in December, incidentally the hottest it has been in 43 years. While I certainly wasn't expecting to be pampered, I surely wasn't prepared to be in 35 deg C weather without at least a fan. That was the case in the first few days. When I approached the staff they... More
