If you want a taste of a grand past in an amazing city, this is a peek into it. Rooney's is a family run hotel in an old and original city apartment building. It's small and elegant (7 rooms) very friendly and a welcome antithesis of large hotel chains.

What a great way to start a holiday in Argentina. It's centrally located, the staff were really helpful and friendly, just loved the character of the place, comfortable rooms and the bonus was a free tango lesson.

Stayed here with my wife and sons (15 & 13) for 3 days on the front end of a 10 day trip to Argentina. Our airport pick-up (arranged through the hotel) went off without a hitch, although the traffic in the city lived up to its reputation on a Friday morning. Since the hotel was not crowded (late in the... More

Just in- this travelista home after a wonderful week exploring beautiful Buenos Aires, a city long on my travel radar. I came across Rooney's Boutique Hotel on TripAdvisor- a mucho 'muchas gracias', guys!! I was lucky enough to enjoy this gem of a place for six wonderful nights, where it made a most wonderful 'home away from home' in El... More

We chose this hotel having read some of the Tripadvisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. The location is very good, you can walk to lots of the sights and the subway is very handy for those that you can't. The staff, particularly Aurelia, are extremely helpful. Our room was just as expected, comfortably furnished, nice old world bathroom and not... More

This is a boutique hotel that has the look of what I imagine Buenos Aires was in the 29's. Our only problem was the bath / shower was an old ball and claw that is very deep. My wife could not step over the high side and was unable to use it. The transfer from the airport had a hard... More

Ok, so I'm from the same area of Belfast as the owner but I have to say a mate and I had a great stay here. The decor and lay-out of the hotel has a touch of class about it. It's different. The rooms are nicely finished and there is a lovely lounge area with a balcony overlooking a typical... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in Rooneys in Feburary on our way to see her family in Salta and really loved it. We had heard that BA was considered the Paris of South America and when you stay at Rooneys you really understand why.. The interior is beautifully laid out and a real throwback to Argentina's glory... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend when we visited Buenos Aires in January and were very impressed! The hotel is beautifully decorated and we found the location was perfect! The staff were great and gave us great pointers for visiting the city. Overall it was great and if I'm lucky enough to get back to Buenos Aires I would definitely... More
