We booked in here initially for a couple of nights and liked it so much we decided to extend our stay. David, who was really helpful from the start (great pre arrival directional email and initial orientation of the city) until after we checked out, went out of his way to move somethings around so that stay longer. We had... More

This beautiful colonial home was a peaceful stay. High ceilings and an "old-world" feel, my room was a sanctuary in an old barrio that is my favorite in all of Buenos Aires. David was so helpful in showing me the "must-see" areas to visit and was a wonderful host! This hotel is a lovely option for your stay in BA,... More

Very helpful staff!!!! Agustin helped to plan and book tours during our stay. Perfect suggestions for tango show and football game at good price. Clean shared bathroom and since only 4 rooms in this place, it gave a cozy feeling when meeting others during breakfast time. There are plenty of restaurants choices just one block away. It is convenient to... More

In a big city like Buenos Aires it's nice when you have a place to 'come home to'. Agustin and David make you feel very welcome and can advise you on everything. They help you plan your visit and make reservations. Thanks to them we got to enjoy a soccer match by Riverplate! We will never forget! We are travelling... More

We had excellent service from the owners/manager of the B&B: Agustin and David. They are advising on all kind of trips, restaurants or bars. We have been to a very nice tangoshow and Boca Juniors match all arranged by them. La Replublica is a perfect location for couples or small groups when you want to stay in a small and... More

As a female traveling alone, I prefer to have my own room rather than dorm it, but I also need a place that is reasonably priced, clean and safe. I spent 5 nights at Republica while exploring Buenos Aires and it was great. It is really just a lovely old house with four rooms. You get to know the other... More

This review is factually correct as of mid October 2013 After traveling around the Americas for 8 months I decided to spend my last few weeks in a slightly more premium lodging. I was not disappointed! Security and Safety: You have to get through 3 locked doors to enter your individual room, you are very secure. The area is also... More

The Republica San Telmo is well located, but it is no longer the place it used to be (judging by former reviews). Nicholas is no longer there, and the current staff are almost never around - although David was helpful when he was there. It has the feel of an abandoned house. The other family staying there and I were... More
