Everything from the location to the service was fabulous at Legado Mitigo. The room was artfully decorated, bed incredibly comfortable and view of courtyard was lovely. Library and breakfast area was warm and welcoming. They were very accommodating in providing a continental breakfast when we were leaving before regular breakfast hours which was very much appreciated. Because of flight delays,... More

We stayed 3 nights in this charming small boutique hotel situated in an interesting arty area filled with small cafes, restaurants and small upmarket clothing shops. It seemed safer than the CBD area where our guide took us. Our room on the 2nd floor was very elegant and beautifully furnished in an Evita theme overlooking a pretty courtyard. The staff... More

This is a pretty, quiet, boutique hotel with a beautiful private garden. The neighbourhood is similar to SOHO NYC in that it has many shops run by artisans, lots of great restaurants (all price ranges), and a great relaxed vibe. We stayed for 5 nights in the room “El Hero” which is on the 3rd floor at the front of... More

We stayed here while in BA. We thought that it would be good to stay in an 'arty' area and we were right. It's surrounded by lively nightlife and really great restaurants. We stayed in two of their rooms - and both were great. Service is of high quality - especially the guys at the front desk. The buffet breakfast... More

A great choice in Buenos Aires: an excellent area (try a steak and a bottle of Malbec at nearby Don Julio or La Cabrera, which offers 40% off on all all menu items from 7-8 pm...a great deal) filled with boutiques, cafes and casual dining options; personal attention to our needs (I.e., concierge made arrangements for an outstanding tango show);... The Legado in Buenos Aires is in the Palermo area and having read a review about the area being dangerous just before I went, I was concerned. No worries. I feel badly for one persons bad experience but my daughter and I walked all over Buenos Aires - at one point walking from the famous El Ateneo library in Recoleta... More

What a find this place was. Warm, cosy and welcoming with excellent staff and brilliant service. My room was so comfy, like a home base in BsAs and nothing too much trouble for the staff - ask Marco to treat you to one of his caffe con leche to avoid the filter stuff at breakfast. I went to a lot... More

This was our second stay at Legado. This time we brought several friends with us, to help celebrate a big birthday. The staff are super helpful and don't ever complain. The rooms are beautiful and the main lounge is a fantastic place to kick back and relax in. It is perfectly situated in Palermo, with bars and restaurants literally across... More

This was a lovely boutique hotel. We stayed in El Gaucho (would've loved to sneak the rug in our suitcase!) and found the staff really helpful. There was a wonderful library/lounge to relax in, good breakfast, and it had a real 'clubby' feel to it. We were staying at the hotel at the same time as the guests in the... More

My wife and I checked into the Legado Mitico hotel on the 29th March for a one week stay. Within 3 hours I was attacked and robbed while sitting having lunch at restaurant on the corner of the street next to the hotel. We left for the UK the next day ending our holiday. The hotel itself is lovely. It’s... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
