Don't even know where to begin but to say Tesorito is a wonderful place to call "home" while in Buenos Aires. Spacious living area includes a living room, two bedrooms, bathroom and a patio. My mom and I were visiting B.A. and were thrilled to find this place. The location is great - situated between Palermo, Recoleta and the Center,... More

Visited Buonos Aires with my parents and really was hoping for a personal experience. We couldn't have got better. Originally only planned to stay for five days but enjoyed the accomodation and the hosts so much we stayed for longer. Fernanda and Ahmed could not have been more helpful and friendly making this stay an absolute pleasure. Beautiful apartment space... More

After the hustle and bustle of the World Cup in Brazil, our group of four were looking forward to our 5 days in Buenos Aires after hearing so much about the city and also of Tesorito Bed & Breakfast. We had booked on the recommendation of some friends who had stayed at Tesorito a year or so ago and we... More

This is long overdue but I had a wonderful stay at Tesorito Bed & Breakfast for several nights after an organized tour earlier this year. I wanted to see additional sites and get away from tourist areas. As a woman in her '70's I felt very safe in this area and enjoyed being able to relax in the sitting room... More

We stayed at Tesorito for five nights. Fernanda and Ahmed are wonderful hosts, and they have a beautiful home. It is a spacious apartment on the ground floor of an older building with lots of character. The bedroom is roomy and comfortable and has plenty of storage space. Guests also have use of a sitting room and a lovely private... More

We stayed at for 3 nights and found it to be a really nice bed and breakfast to base ourselves for our stay in Buenos Aires. Ahmed and Fernando were very welcoming giving us ideas on what to do in BA, Ahmed spoke good English which was helpful as our Spanish was terrible! The room and bathroom were both spacious.... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Tesorito. It was perfect! Set in a beautiful old house that has been tastefully renovated with lovely hosts. Its location was brilliant, few minutes walk to the metro although a cab to the places we wanted to go was not expensive. We had the place to ourselves which was great, like being at home,... More

I was in Tesorito last year with my boyfriend and sister in law and we all loved this place. From outside is nothing special but once you are in the apartment you feel already like at home. The decoration is really nice and cozy. the rooms are spacious and its really private, you don't even feel that the owners also... More

Fernanda and her niece were our gracious guests for the week in this charming, old world apartment with high ceilings, wood floors and a quiet courtyard with water feature. (We also got the pleasure of meeting Ahmed when he returned from traveling.) It was the best of both worlds - the freedom to be on our own schedule, with the... More

We were fortunate to have the place to ourselves during our stay in mid May so we had sole use of the lounge and dining areas making it more of a homestay than a B&B. It's in a great central location making it easy to get anywhere around town. 2 mins to the nearest subway and spitting distance to numerous... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
