The hotel location couldn't be better. In Microcentro ,just a few blocks from the Obelisk, Florida Avenue, Plaza de Mayo, and the brand new D subway line, you couldn't ask for a more convenient address. The hotel is older but clearly refurbished and modern. Room was very clean, flat screen TV, good internet service, and solid water pressure in the... More

This hotel has a great location (you can walk to San Telmo, Retiro, Puerto Madero and many attractions), very spacious and comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. I've been to Buenos Aires several times and I'd surely stay at this hotel the next time I'm in the city.

Stayed 5 nights here and the hotel and location is very good. Good service at the front desk, but the food and the service for breakfast were both below the standard one expect from a four star hotel. So stay here, but take your breakfast somewhere else. Also, we visited in April - and the pool was closed because it... More

I had to spend a few days in Buenos Aires and my agent arranged this hotel, which is right in the middle of Microcentro, quite near many landmarks. The surroundings are really awesome. Nice romantic place, many couples were there enjoying the quality time together. Highly recommended for its location and service quality. A minor setback would be the lack... More

This hotel is in a great BA location. Within walking distance of many central BA attractions such as the Casa Rosada, the obelisk, Calle Florida and Cafe Tortoni. It's also right along several Subte lines so transportation is quite easy. The hotel is a renovated older property and parts of it are really, really nice (such as the lobby, main... More

We're recently stayed here as part of the group tour. The hotel is located near Plaza de Mayo and Calle La Florida( 5 block walk) to the shopping district. The hotel itself is well maintained. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet a was excellent. The staff was always very helpful.

We spent four nights/five days during the easter break in 725 Continental. The hotel is centrally located. A lot of the tourist attractions can be done by foot from the hotel. this is one good point to stay in this hotel; but nothing else! (this is not a cheap hotel, on the contrary) 1. Reception staff checked us in but... More

I got in Sunday night and the TV did not work, I called front desk for support and they just answered that nobody was available to help me!!?? The staff in the front desk are extremely unfriendly. It seems nobody enjoys... More

Freshly renovated hotel, great rooms, very clean, perfect location (one block away from Florida Avenue), friendly staff, pool at the roof, sauna, amazing breakfasts (with champagne!), there is nothing short of perfect. Our room was on first floor facing the main sreet, but window covers were very thick and there was no noise coming from the street. Bed was very... More

We stayed at 725 Continental on our way back from a cruise. On the way in we stayed at the Scala, and hence we are in a good position to compare. We found the hotel to be a lot more expensive than the Scala. The quality of the room was ok, but we found the bathroom lights a bit too... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
