I stayed here with my dad last year and we had originally booked 3 nights. It was such a horrible place that we left at 8.00 am the next day, after only one night. I'm a seasoned traveler and I have rarely moved out from a hostel because it was so bad. This was one of them. We arrived at... More

The receptionist didn't arrive to recieve me on time (on the weekends, he only works till 5pm), but was kind. The place is just above a dancing club, so expect noise at nights (Argentinian clubs don't close before 5am). The rates published in the hostal own website are better than the rates published in hostelworld, and the hostal also has... More

Please do not stay here. It is wildly overpriced and the owner lied to us about the rooms and about the availability of activities. She said our room had a double bed and its own bathroom when it had neither. She also told us she couldn't arrange for us to see River play that weekend because they weren't playing and... More

They were the worst at taking my reservation here. They hire incompetent staff and treat their customers as if they were doing them a favor.

Together with 3 of my friends we stayed at the hostel for 4 nights. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. I was able to chat with the owner of the hostel and he mentioned to me that the previous management did not take care of customers properly but since early June the managmenet has changed and... Do not stay here. It is dark, depressing and dirty. The carpeting needs to be replace and the paint is peeling off the walls. I'm pretty sure there were NO other guests when I was there so there was no one to meet up with either. No private baths and no air conditioning. I barely slept and left as quickly... More

This was an improvement over our previous hostel, but really not worth the money. ($16 USD for a dorm, $50 USD for a double). The services listed were impressive, and were available mostly, but with plenty of kinks and exceptions. We were the only guests in the three days we were there, and yet still could not get a double... More

Fantastic location right opposite Recoleta cemetery. Friendly staff. Great rooftop terrace. Only downsides are (a) don't expect there to be any toilet paper and (b) this place is right above 2 bars - the music goes until dawn and it is VERY LOUD. If you don't bring earplugs with you, you won't get any sleep.

i stayed here for a month in january and a few days at the end of my trip in april. it was clean, with friendly and helpful staff. location was great - recoleta is a nice and lively area, as well as being safe to walk around in at night. the small-ish size of the hostel made it very conducive... Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
