I've been there last summer, and I was really happy to stay there. Federico is a very nice person, and Angelica is simply fantastic. I arrived there on sunday, in the early morning, without pesos because the bureau of change were closed, and Federico gave me some money to spend my day there. They are so nice and polite, and... My stay at hotel maipu has been very pleasant, from the moment I stepped inside, the staff have been more than accomadating. I had a few language barriers but the manager went out of his way to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. There's too many things to write about but I've never experienced that level of kindness in... More

On our previous trip to Buenos Aires, we stayed at the Nuevo Hotel Maipu last April with my wife, we both had a great time. We had a very pleasant stay in this old and quiet hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff was extremely friendly, and helpful. The room were spacious, confortable and clean. The location is very... More

Scared to go back alone even to get my things, much less sleep there. door always open so anyone can walk in. Lights not on in the lobby. No way to talk to owner... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
