This is my second stay here, although it was Axel before. It is true that the rooms are looking a little tired now but they are still comfortable and spotlessly clean. The beds in the rooms overlooking the garden are large and provide excellent sleeping. The room's layout is also a relief from the usual plan that most hotels unimaginatively... More

Located in the heart of San Telmo neighborhood, this hotel was the ancient AXEL hotel. The staff is really friendly when you try and speak few words of Spanish. Knowing how to say Hello and Thank you can really open you doors. The rooms on the pool side are very quiet. I had the 103, it was right. The design... More

On a recent visit to Buenos Aires we were searching for a hotel in the downtown area close enough for us to take the shuttle bus to the airport when we were going to leave. We came upon the BE Hotel and booked a room and, quite frankly, made the best choice we could have hoped for. Just before entering... More

My first experience at the lobby of the hotel wasn't the best. We came with lots of bags (it was a long trip and we were bringing books and other things home) and the girl on the front desk was helping other people and more people came after us... She asked us to sit and wait. Then when it was... More

We stayed in three hotels (including the Be Trimos Hotel) on our trip and had the best experience at this one. Pros: The staff are wonderful. Especially Pablo at the front desk. Exceedingly helpful and courteous. He had wonderful suggestions, wrote out maps for me, looked for a box for me to take home a fragile item -- all with... More

An excellent designer hotel in a good location for the bars and restaurants of San Telmo and for the subway and bus network for the rest of the city. Good breakfast, friendly staff with good English and excellent wi-fi. The rooms are probably in need of a refurb but I loved the lighting system, the polished concrete floors, the mini-Belfast... Like so much of Buenos Aires, the BE Hotel has seen much better days. The high-style design - roof-top glass bottomed swimming pool, glass staired atrium, tiered courtyard and out-door pool - are impressive but the rooms are in need of refurbishing (grubby, peeling wallpaper) and many of the spa facilities (steam room, hot tub, sauna) were out-of-order during our... Modern and urban design. Complet Full breakfast .Pool on the roof, beautiful. Spacious room and clean . The water had a surreal price. Buy at a nearby market. Wi-fi works well . The service is friendly . After check -out , leave the bags in a guard - volume room, and we had lunch before going to the airport.

"They could do a better Job!" 30. Januar 2015 The Hotel is very stylish and a real nice piece of architectecture. Glass staircases, a glass roof an a glass pool in it! A second pool in the garden area is also quite nice. The rooms too are nice and well designed. The staff is not unfriendly and not unhelpful. But... More

Stopped at this hotel 5 years ago when it was hotel Axel. So decided to stop again because it was close to everything Florida! Casa Rosa! Basically everything you need to see, and this time we walked everywhere... Well worth the money...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
