We didn't realise when booking that this is the previously closed Axle hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. We paid an excellent value rate and were given access to all the facilities. The spa facilities were lovely after a day exploring BA. The clientele are about 2/3 gay despite the change in ownership which... More

the BE hotel, formerly Axel hotel in Buenos Aires has a mainly gay clientele, which is great if your gay, like me, or gayfriendly! The hotel is a breath of modernity in this neighbourhood, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are modern and clean, but the best part is the spa/ pool on the top floor of the hotel,... More

This hotel has a good location, close to a subte (subway) line, next to supermarkets, bars and restaurants in San Telmo district. Calle Florida, Plaza de Mayo and other famous tourist places are at a fair walking distance if you appreciate doing that. The staff is warm and always willing to help. The structure is new and constantly being maintained.... More

My first experience of hotel employee on checking in was very positive. Hotel staff in all departments were very warm, polite, and very keen to help to resolve any issues. Good breakfast available every morning. I would not hesitate to stay again.

The hotel structure is amazing: great architecture and design. The location is ok. It seems to be dangerous at first, but we had no problem. We walked in the neighborhood at different times. We had a problem when we arrived: there was no hot water. For a hotel, this is indispensable. It´s the same as if you arrive in a... More

The street that this hotel is on isn't the prettiest of streets, but the minute you walk into the hotel it is quite cool with their use of building materials. All the staff are super friendly and most know some, if not fluent in, English. Breakfast isn't too bad, has the basics. The rooms are great, housekeeping are on the... More

I booked this hotel for the price and the four star rating. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The modern design with concrete floor was cold and uninviting. The rooms are tiny, not just small with concrete floor and nothing on the concrete walls. Spa shower was great, but that was it. No shower door and no where to... More

We originally planned to stay in this hotel for a three night trip to Buenos Aires, but decided to extend for a week. I couldn't fault the service in the hotel. The pool was clean and tidy with great showers and sun loungers. The rooms were cleaned daily and each time i re-entered the room it was perfectly clean and... More

First hotel I've ever stayed in where there is no floor covering. Everywhere is concrete. It's a very modern design which won't suit everyone. And as with all modern buildings, when they are new they look fabulous (as I'm sure this did when it belonged to Axel chain) but some years later it looks a bit tired. Pool area was... More

This hotel has changed owner end of 2013. From a adult only hotel it changed to low budget travelers hotel, open to kids without warning us (we booked few months before the change). This hotel need major remodelation, furnitures around the pool is broken, pool is not clean, a layer of dust all around! The rooms are noisy. No service... More
