My first experience of hotel employee on checking in was very positive. Hotel staff in all departments were very warm, polite, and very keen to help to resolve any issues. Good breakfast available every morning. I would not hesitate to stay again.

The hotel structure is amazing: great architecture and design. The location is ok. It seems to be dangerous at first, but we had no problem. We walked in the neighborhood at different times. We had a problem when we arrived: there was no hot water. For a hotel, this is indispensable. It´s the same as if you arrive in a... More

The street that this hotel is on isn't the prettiest of streets, but the minute you walk into the hotel it is quite cool with their use of building materials. All the staff are super friendly and most know some, if not fluent in, English. Breakfast isn't too bad, has the basics. The rooms are great, housekeeping are on the... More

I booked this hotel for the price and the four star rating. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The modern design with concrete floor was cold and uninviting. The rooms are tiny, not just small with concrete floor and nothing on the concrete walls. Spa shower was great, but that was it. No shower door and no where to... More

We originally planned to stay in this hotel for a three night trip to Buenos Aires, but decided to extend for a week. I couldn't fault the service in the hotel. The pool was clean and tidy with great showers and sun loungers. The rooms were cleaned daily and each time i re-entered the room it was perfectly clean and... More

First hotel I've ever stayed in where there is no floor covering. Everywhere is concrete. It's a very modern design which won't suit everyone. And as with all modern buildings, when they are new they look fabulous (as I'm sure this did when it belonged to Axel chain) but some years later it looks a bit tired. Pool area was... More

This hotel has changed owner end of 2013. From a adult only hotel it changed to low budget travelers hotel, open to kids without warning us (we booked few months before the change). This hotel need major remodelation, furnitures around the pool is broken, pool is not clean, a layer of dust all around! The rooms are noisy. No service... More

Had reservation for January 10-12 at this with new name (formerly Axel Hotel) with reservation Guaranteed with the credit card. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told very rudely that there were no rooms left. But they had made arrangement for me to stay at the Monserrat Apart Hotel. Which was out of my and the staff provided... More

The hotel is conveniently located, however the building nearby are rundown, full of graffiti, the boardwalk is in terrible condition, full of holes and the area is very dirty. The hotel itself is not too bad, the room were clean, the personnel was nice, except for the morning front desk young man who had a snobbish attitude. Also, we, as... More

Rude receptionist. Poor restaurant / bar staff. Very run down and dirty. Broken glass was found near jacuzzis for two days running in the spa. No iPod docks in rooms as advertised. Place looks in need of a make over. Avoid. Better and cheaper options in Buenos Aires.
