i checked in and checked out three hours later despite having pre-paid. its a nice hotel but they gave me a room which was incredibly noisy from the street and the music from the bar. after 25 hours travelling to argentina I wanted to relax and sleep which wasn't possible. More

Hotel was in great location and staf was helpfull and friendly. Wifi in room was spotty at best, in lobby worked fine. Water splashed on floor due to shower design but extra towels arrived once called for. No robe in room or slippers. Breakfast in AM was quite good, nice selection of food items and fresh jusices. This is a classy, trendy, spotlessly clean (the cleanest we've ever stayed in!), hotel in San Telmo - in our opinion the best neighbourhood to stay in town. Spent a week at the Axel and really enjoyed it. The hotel was clean and quiet (except of course during the Sunday party!). The staff was excellent, especially Santiago, Alexis and Conrado on the front desk. We asked for things constantly. And the price was great. Would stay there again. More
