Honestly for the price paid it is pretty good considering the good location in Palermo. Also the staff are very friendly and helpful so that is a plus. The dorms are not bad either as far as dorms go. However since they do not have air conditioning in the the the dorms I strongly recommend not going in hot weather... More

I stayed in room 8 (double private) and while I was out at night one of the workers used the key to get in my room and steal all the money from my bag. There were two guys working that night, one from Haiti and the other was kind've Arabic/Hispanic. I know I locked the door and you have to... More

We spent more than a week in Back in BA and had a great time. The hostel is situated in Palermo, a nice neighborhood with a lot of bars, restaurants and possibilities to go out. When the hostel is full and on weekend, it could be noisy but it's a good opportunity to meet new people. The breakfast is good, with... More

I hate to write a bad review because back in BA was great but one thing really got me! One man on the front desk sick. Coughing & sneezing constantly, the most horrendous noises coming from his mouth, without the courtesy of covering his mouth!! I wasn't going to write this but now I am terribly sick & no doubt... Thank you so much for your lovely review! Happy guests make us happy. Sorry, though about the coughing member of staff. He´s no longer with us... not in that way.. he´s just moved on. So apart from seasonal colds, we´re all in great shape!! Hope to see you again More

Back in BA is one of my favorite hostels we have stayed in during our travels across South America. It is not the most modern hostel but it has a well-worn, relaxed vibe. The atmosphere is great and the staff are very pleasant and helpful! The desk is open 24-hours a day so you can come and go as you... More

The location is good but everything else is terrible! security, bathrooms, cleanliness, people... you name it, it made you want to leave and we did after one night. We've stayed in heaps of run down, fun hostels with a relaxed vibe but this was something else... do not book is all I can recommend.

Me and my sister stayed in a private room ensuite for six nights. We had a problem with the bathroom, because there was a terrible smell coming from the drain, really really awful. But otherwise, we thought the hostel was pretty great. The staff is very friendly, specially Pablo, that always has a big smile on his face. The room... More

Back in BA is one of the coolest hostels I've been. It has such a cool and cosy atmosphere. The location in the middle of palermo is great for people who want to go for a good dinner or for those who want to explore the nightlife. The best thing about the hotel is the amazing stuff!!

The beds are basic, everything is quite clean. The staff was very nice, very helpful. The location in Palermo can't be beat, but get a SUBE card and take the busses out to explore the rest of the city as well!

After a 23 hr transit I was greeted with smiling faces and generosity! Facilities are basic however the central space is great for family style dinners and drinks & makes up for it. Buzzing bars & restaurants are moments away. Daily strolls around the cafes were also relaxing and chilled. I tested 3 different areas of BA and this was... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
