Only stayed one night but I would happily go back. Really helpful and friendly staff, great decor and attention to detail and a brilliant location. The hotel has a small bar and courtyard which provide a wonderful retreat. The only minor details that might upset others (not me) was that there was no door on the bathroom (inherent to the... This hotel is a gem, just 5 minutes walk from the Plaza Armenia and all the shops, bars and restaurants of Palermo Viejo, yet on a quiet street. The nearest Subte is 10-15 minutes walk, but the handy 39 bus goes right past the door, and the main artery street Scalabrini Ortiz is two blocks away, from where you can... More

We arrived at 23:30 after a long day of travelling. This wasn't a problem at all, because of the 24h reception we had a very warm welcome in Hotel Costa Rica. The staff is very very friendly and they will help you with all your questions. We had a room with a shared bathroom at the top floor of the... More

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Costa Rica. I had a bit of a scramble when I arrived in Buenos Aires and finding this hotel was like finding an oasis. The staff were super: helpful, smiles and nothing was too much to ask. There are different types of rooms, so just about any traveler will find something for him... More

Great boutique hotel. Came here after our first accomodation was a complete failure. Luxurious and in a good location. very comfortable with good service. Would stay here again. Enjoyed the happy hour by the bar every afternoon before we went out for dinner.

Perfect location to enjoy the historic district. An easy walk to the historic sights and fun shopping places. The hotel has a great breakfast buffet, nice rooms, good beds and a lovely backyard with a pool. The staff is very friendly and has good suggestions for restaurant meals.

The Hotel Costa Rica was a pleasant surprise in the busy city of Buenos Aires. It has a lovely entrance door and once inside, the helpful staff made it a joy to stay there. Interesting architecture. I'm not sure when it was remodeled. The bathroom are a bit dark and stark for my taste. Seemed to be a bit masculine.... More

The hotel is centrally located in Palermo. The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are simple but clean and quiet. The only thing i missed is a real view out of the window. The rate is ok and breakfast is an extra 50 pesos which includes a coffee, 2 croissants and an orange juice. Safety is high as you... More

The HCR is a very stylish and cozy boutique hotel just a few blocks to the east of a great neighborhood. We very much enjoyed lingering in the breezy lobby and on the terrace. The people working there were wonderful: friendly, helpful and genuinely caring about their guests. The rooms were simple but spotless. The location on a relatively quiet... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
