I stayed in this apartment for 3 night with my family and it was a great surprise. Despite they do not have the all the hotel facilities, the staff was was helpful. They were already waiting for us at the flat for the check in, at the time we arranged by email, and they helped us with all the doubts... More

Stayed at Laprida for 3 nights. Apartments were clean, new and well equipped for a good price. Good position in Recoleta. Staff were helpful. Our biggest issue were our awful neighbours down the hall who partied from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. Not sure what management can do about this but made it quite unpleasant.

I stayed at Laprida with my wife and four month old for a week. Overall the suites are a good value and in a very nice location. The accommodations were OK and clean. We did, however, have issues with our neighbors who were having a couple fight which included yelling, slamming of doors and throwing of items, at the very... More

This apartment tower of about 10 stories has 4-6 compact apartments per floor with a small pool and sun deck on the upper level. We stayed on the 1st level facing Laprida and it was a bit loud due to traffic but at least it was not on a bus route! Ask for a room on the back side or... More

A friend of ours booked this apartment which was in a great quiet residential street around 3 blocks from the subway and in walking distance of Recoleta cemetary. We were first on the 5th floor at the front (it has a little balcony) and the second stay was on the 5th floor at the back. I guess the view from... More

Well located in the Centre of Recoleta, the Laprida Suites are well appointed with good quality kitchenette (kettle, microwave, fridge, coffee machine), comfy beds, TV, DVD and computer and bath in bathroom. The “bedroom” is actually seperated from the main room by a 7ft high dividing wall and there is no door – so it’s not really a seperate bedroom.... More

I spent four nights at the Laprida Suites in the beginning of January 2007 when I arrived in Buenos Aires, and then returned for my last night in Argentina in February. The location of Laprida 1737 is terrific: walking distance to many great restaurants (including a great little empanada cafe on the corner), the Recoleta Cemetary, and the subway on... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
