We were expecting a beautiful historical building and Palacio Duhau did not disappoint. Where it surprised us was the roomy, comfortable, and modern amenities of the rooms combined with a staff who were pleasant, helpful, and friendly. We loved this hotel. And the front desk went out of the way to rebook and extend our stay after a transit strike... More

From the front desk staff to the room attendants, I couldn't have asked for more during my stay in Buenos Aires. The first few days were spent in what I would consider a very nice hotel in the city and then we moved to the Park Hyatt. To say the least, the Park Hyatt with its beautiful grounds, attention to... Gorgeous hotel. Only possitive echo's from here; great location, beautifully restored, nice breakfast and professional staff. November is a perfect month to visit: beginning of spring season with all the blooming purple trees.

This is now the hotel that I judge 5* standards by. I have traveled the world and stayed in many luxury hotels and this might just be my new favorite. The palace has been beautifully restored and the decor, rooms, garden and spa are all top quality. The staff not only provided a crib for our 10 month old daughter,... More

We stayed in a suite at the Park Hyatt. The lobby modern but pays tribute to the historic nature of the building. We stayed in the tower in a suite. It was perfect and the maid service was outstanding. The food is overpriced, but you are paying for the privilege of sitting in the gorgeous patio and it is worth... More

Our 4 night stay at Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt BA was one of our top hotel experiences ever (we've stayed at George V, Raffles, Pennsuila, 4 Seasons, etc) thanks to a staff extraordinaire. Read Igell's review which is well written & accurate to avoid being repetitious except to add that the original palace public spaces are amazing. The design team... More

This has been the third time that I have been visiting this Hotel, and it seems to get even better and better, be it checking in, Service or than the rooms. The Garden and the Smoking bar are a must, one of the top Hotels I have been staying at during the past year

We spent two nights at the Palacio Duhau prior to joining a cruise. This is a beautiful hotel, it has a superb setting in the centre of the city with a wonderful terraced garden between the original house and the new build, absolutely wonderful for sitting in and relaxing over a drink or light meal following sight seeing in the... This hotel is beyond beautiful. The rooms are HUGE and very nice. I was traveling here for work so this is not my regular type of hotel that I like to stay at when traveling for pleasure, because I usually like something with a bit more culture and a unique local feel. This hotel was missing that element. I promise... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
