It was a really good price (just 280USD for 6 nights in a single room). The staff was very polite all the time. Breakfast is poor but sweet and the place to get it is actually kind of nice. The elevator worked all the time but has a very weird system to open/close the door. Room is dated and the... More

Position couldn't be better. Great street cafe outside. Friendly and helpful staff. Big comfortable aircon room with big screen cable tv. Standard Argentina breakfast .US40(dble). Ask for cash discount.

Reasonable good hotel well located in downtown Buenos Aires, next to Florida street e Peru metro station. I stayed there for one night and the room was ok. The shower was very good. The only two inconvenients are the poor breakfast and the fact they accept only cash for payment. Staff is friendly.

I spent only half a day in this hotel, I needed a place where the kids could take a shower and rest before another plane. It's very well located, but everything is very old, the carpet is not clean, i really didn't like it.

This little gem is right near the Palza de Mayo in the central district at one end of Florida. Single rooms are a snip at USD26 (yes, twenty six), for which you get very basic, dated but clean accommodation with bathroom. The proprietor did not speak any English, so brush up on your Spanish, or make your reservation using basic... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
