I got a very good offer on Expedia for this hotel and I booked it for more than one week. Positive things: (1) in the very centre, which means a lot of things are really close even by walk (lot of shops, monuments, venue points for free tours, bars, restaurants); (2) Staff is kind; (3) Room is big enough for... We are a retired couple who stayed three nights in this hotel one week ago. The bedroom was tiny, noisy, no English TV station, air conditioner sounded like a freight train. The bathroom was diminutive, to get into the bathroom you needed to squeeze past the basin which was free standing on a timber frame with a flexible connection to... More

The hotel is well located in Buenos Aires downtown. Very close to Florida street. Suits are small, there is no way to control the air conditioning (general system) so sometimes its very hot and others cold. We had a lick in our shower. On the top of all wifi was really bad. When you travel it is essential to be... More

It is a very nice Hotel in a convenient location. The rooms are very small, but clean and comfortable. Bell boys were great and Front Desk helpful. There are some nice Restaurants nearby. We felt safe during day and night. Recommend it.

Ive been in this hotel about 4 times. It has great location an an excellent breakfast. The rooms are small and with a not-so-nice view, but for the price you cannot ask much. Recommended for people that want to visit bsas and doesnt care about where to sleep :)

The location is not the best - walking distance (ten min) from Calle Florida and other attractions (9 de julio avenue). Breakfast is nothing great and there is no WiFi in the rooms (only in lobby). Staff is very helpful

All in all an OK hotel, everything looked clean and quite new. Rooms are really small, furniture is kept to a minimum - there are no closets, just an open space to hang your clothes, and no drawers. Bathrooms are small (this is in particular a problem with the shower cabin) but clean and basic amenities. Breakfast had a nice... More

The room was small but ok for an overnight stop. No wardrobe but hanging space for half a dozen shirts. Clean and tidy but definitely not suitable for a long stay. Staff very helpful. Breakfast won't make you overweight !

We stayed 3 nights in the Rochester and were lucky to get a high room with a terrace which made the room seem larger. The room was nicely decorated however we had to ask for the air conditioner to be turned off each night as it was extremely noisy. The breakfast was lovely with a good selection. Staff very helpful.... More

My friend and I have recently returned from a six night stay at this hotel and we were very impressed. We didn't pay much at all and, as such, we were somewhat concerned by a few of the reviews posted here. Fortunately, we had a lovely stay at the Rochester Concept. Our room was a decent size (okay, not exactly... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
