Wonderful hotel on the door step over everything that is good in Buenos Aires. Marvellous welcome when we arrived nothing was too much trouble. The receptionist advised us on what to do and what not to do. Like allowing the hotel to book a trip for us - when the travel agent was just down the road. We were booked... more
A two-day stay in the Recoleta district [after doing some business in BA and visiting with relatives]. Located between the Alvear and the Four Seasons, the location is prime. This is a delightful, tastefully furnished small hotel [four rooms on our floor, facing Posadas St]. Staff attentiveness is at the level I would expect at a Four Seasons. In fact,... more
We are a middle-aged couple in BA for holiday. Spent 5 nights in Melia Recoleta. Very pleased with the experience. Hotel is small enough to provide personal service. Staff friendly, professional, eager to help with tourist questions. Rooms are large enough and well furnished. We tried all 3 room grades: the standard, the deluxe, and a suite. The standard room... more
I stayed at the Meliá Recoleta Plaza for four days earlier this month, during my first visit to Buenos Aires. Here's my breakdown: THE GOOD - great location, in a quiet street in the famous Recoleta neighborhood, a couple of blocks away from the Recoleta Cemetery and from Patio Bullrich (an upscale mall with lots of designer shops); - elegant... more
We stayed here three nights at the end of January 2008. I didn't realize the location would be so important in BA but when we compared the quiet, tree lined streets near our hotel and the congestion and noise in the Microcentro area, we knew we had made a good choice. It's within easy walking distance of the Cemetary and... more
Stayed several nights and have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. We were accomodated in every aspect from booking a show to setting up transportation. Our group of 9 (we booked 5 rooms) all enjoyed our stay and the included breakfast buffet. The staff was helpful and courteous. The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. I... more
Melia Recoleta is a nice small hotel, perfectly located in the best BA district. There is no public transportation nearby, so the best and only option is taxi (or walking, but BA is huge, so you cannot walk everywhere). The staff is very helpful with all your needs. The standard rooms are nicely appointed, but quite small, and some are... more
Lovely place. English spoken. First class service. Beautiful food, luxury surroundings, excellent location. Poor internet access, and the room was not huge, particularly the bathroom, but that's really looking hard to find fault. This place is excellent. more
A group of friends traveling together stayed at the Recoleta Plaza for 5 days in December. The hotel is perfectly located in the beautiful, upscale area of Recoleta. The rooms are very nice and well equipped, attractive and of average size. The staff is very friendly and helpful--always pleasant. Included breakfast was excellent but other food and drink pricey for... more
