After 30+ years and 6 continents of travel I have found my favorite guesthouse! Lina's Tango Guesthouse! This gem is in a great location in San Telmo. You can walk to many area attractions, restaurants, shopping and sites. The subte (subway) or bus is just a few blocks away for those sites that you can't walk to. We stayed in... More

As an experienced traveller of more than 25 years, Lina's Tango Guesthouse is nothing short of wonderful. Lina and her staff go above and beyond to help make each traveller's time in BsAs a memorable one. This was my second trip to BsAs but both times I stayed at Lina's. First time was for pleasure and second time for work/study... More

The guesthouse is in a great location. You can walk or take the subte to many landmarks. The rooms are clean. If you like quiet, I would ask for the room facing the courtyard. I was facing the street so I could hear the street noise. This didn't bother me because I can sleep through any noise. It was a... More

I stayed at Lina's guesthouse the first three nights and returned for the last two nights of my stay in Argentina. Lina is an excellent and very helpful hostess and the guesthouse - it's patio in particular - is adorable. Despite it's name, you do not have to be a tangodancer to enjoy Lina's guesthouse. I had never danced tango,... More

This was a lovely guesthouse and Lina was more than helpful. The rooms were really nice and warm and it was a perfect location. Only thing about this place was it was too quiet for us, we are 23 and wanted to meet other travellers. Other than that we can't fault it. Highly recomended for people looking for a nice... More

We stayed Lina's guesthouse two nights during over one week stay in BA. It was extremely peaceful place in the middle of San Telmo and Lina herself is a very friendly owner. She is an experienced Tango dancer, and give you all the information you need about Tango. Rooms are really nicely decorated an clean. Breakfast simple but delicious. Highly... More

This was one first trip to Buenos Aires and I would recommend Lina's both to dancers and non dancers. As there are a small number of rooms it feels a bit like staying at a friends place with breakfast together in the morning to share tips about milongas, dancing classes, shopping or sight seeing in Buenos Aires. The room and... More

What a wonderful time we had at this magical place. I don't usually gush, but Lina has that special something and she infuses her little refuge with the true spirit of hospitality and joy. We were the only non-dancers there, but she managed to make us feel like we were also receiving her special care and attention. For dancers, it... More

Room was very clean, bathroom clean, shower water great heat and pressure and storage for our items. No a/c, but we manged to sleep fine with no sheets or covers and the fan on high. The... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are located in Buenos Aires, in the historical neighbourhood of San Telmo which is near the Obelisk, Plaza de Mayo, Congress Square, Puerto Madero and the popular street 'Caminito" in La Boca. Lina's Tango Guest House is of "Casa Chorizo" architecture which is typical of San Telmo and Palermo at the end of the 18th Century. The rooms are arranged one after the other, connected by a door and down was the bathroom and the kitchen. As the sausages are tied. Each space or room could convert sleeping room, living or eating room, according to the necesiddes of each family. Around the colourful patio, which is filled with plants and memorabilia, there are four unique rooms. Here on the patio, the guests have the opportunity to meet, relax and enjoy new friendships. Hospitality is most important to us. We love to share the culture of Buenos Aires and especially the Tango. ... more   less
